That's a Tesla concern...The fire risk was for a catastrophic failure of the gasoline engine when it was in operation, not when sitting still and turned off.
Really, because this one burned when cold at 4AM after being parked for several days. That's a Tesla concern...
Are you referring to the high voltage battery when you say "the Hybrid"? If, so, it should store ok, like most lithium ion batteries....You can leave a Tender on the 12v , but the Hybrid ? i keep hearing don't let it sit for too many months. Truth or Fiction,, ?
And in the case of the deep sleep issue, it can take months and lots of miles before it shows unless lots of cold weather. How would anyone know? Production just started Oct 18th and it will be a few weeks before these hit the road.
To Ozark -- Thx , i have a deposit on a Hybrid , in route , although by Rail, Eck... and i have a AWD as a rollover from '23, that may be Built in Dec. But, don't trust the Dealer , as the Store changed hands in the middle, So i think i'll run with the Hybrid, and yes , Turbo has it's issues. Are you referring to the high voltage battery when you say "the Hybrid"? If you're concerned, the ecoboost might be better for you. Personally, I've had too much trouble with conventional automatic transmissions and have friends who've had expensive turbo repairs, to ever want either one of those.
Are you sure that's a software issue? I had that in an old Ranger and it turned out to be a bad ground wire. I haven't heard anyone else mention this here, unless it's a setting in the menu that was accidentally set.Only problem I have on my late 23 is the drivers door keep locking on me every time I close the door. Now I have tried something that seems to work. Every time I open the drivers door I press the unlock button twice. Seems to work. Be nice if Ford would do an software update to correct this annoying issue.
