Anyone like the dial shifter?

I suspected that it would be a gimmick, so I wasn’t sure that I would like it.

But I’ve grown to not dislike it.

I do miss the tactile feedback of reaching over to check which gear I’m in without having to look. Not a big deal though, just something that the dial lacks. I wish that it had a little nub or something for physical feedback.

The gear select is lit up, that's how I know it is started. Lariat Hybrid with push button.

If I had to push in a clutch, and then shift gears, I'd probably not like it. But, I start the truck, if I need to back up, I turn the knob clockwise one click, and I'm in reverse, don't need to look. If I'm not backing up, and need to go to drive, I just turn it clockwise a few clicks, and I'm there, again, no need to look. Putting it into reverse from drive? Not a problem, Turn it counter-clockwise two clicks, there I am. So easy. I 1like it.

Just did a long road trip with my lady and there was a long straight stretch where my girl was able to take advantage of all the room

I have to say, I'm appreciating it over a typical center counsel mounted shifter or column shifter. I rented a Wagoneer recently and it had a dial shift as well. The Maverick's was much smoother. Beating a Jeep in refinement is not really a high bar, but that Wagoneer is quite expensive and I was pleased that our economy Maverick's beat it, in this case and in my opinion.

I miss my stick shift but I guess we have to get used to the dial sense it’s in all Fords and all other cars.

i would like to ask all, does anyone like the diel shift. i personally do not like it. so I am on a mission to see if there is a way to put a hand held shift like an f150. does anyone agree. thank you

I personally like it. It is out of the way of my hand during the drive
