I don’t need a CD player. I will be adding an eight track player. I will be able to store all the 8track tapes under the rear seat. Finally I will be able to hear all the classics again. 😬😬

And often two tracks at the same time! 😆

I bought one of those Amazon Basic CD players to put all my CD music into digital form. It was a time-consuming but worthwhile project. It's much easier to use an iPod (or your phone) in the Maverick and much better access and convenience in dealing with all your music.

Has anyone out there in Mavland added an external, stand alone CD player that plugs into the USB port and is controlled by the touch screen? I have lots of CDs and I'd like to use them in my Maverick... If it ever comes.

Spend your time waiting burning them all on thumb drives?

Yes I bought an aftermarket CD player designed to plug into a USB port. It works great. Buy some velcro strips the big ones and place where under the metal underneath where are the USB C and regular USB are located. Easy to figure out. Your info system will do something called indexing which will allow your CD player to play. You can also buy a standard USB(male) adapter where one plugs in and 2 come out(females) so you can use 2 separate regular usbs
Which version did you get for the Maverick version 1 or 2, (some are usbplay1 or usbplay2) application charts don't cover 2022 yet.

Ok this weekend I installed one of those USB operated CD players in my Maverick, the version 1 does work in the XLT sound system, the upgraded system in the Lariat may be different. It took a couple minutes, 2- 4" pieces of hook & loop & stuck it to the flat area under the HVAC controls. It sounds amazing, bass & highs & volume is far better than just the radio, cost me less than $70.

I had a functioning 8 track player in my ‘70 Cougar XR7 😂
I had an 8-track in my 69 Mustang, and of course a reverb mounted under the seat. Very cool for the times! Air shocks were also cool.

Wife bought me a phonograph that has USB to computer that I have ripped my vinyl using a program called Audacity. I'd just put a record on, let it play until I came back, then I could edit "dead end" of recording out as well as delete some of the scratches, then moved them to my phone. In my 2012 Escape I simply say "Bluetooth Audio" and the music plays. No need to plug anything in. It was a kick to hear some of the music I hadn't heard in years.
