  1. Rumor: Toyota RAV4 Truck Will Tackle the Ford Maverick for Revenge

The new Toyota Rav4 ?? All I can think of is that it looks like it should turn into a transformer. :)
  2. Should Ford offer Maverick rear seat delete option?

Multiple body configurations means different parts, different lines, which all equals increased costs. Aftermarket seat delete options is probably the best option, doesn't help with a longer bed option, but that goes back to the configurations comment.
  3. Just got a PM from this person saying they are with Ford: Possible Scam?

I usually make stuff up and send them info 958445741125112154123147649006506657984313216544132146576576-Order number 26542-Dealer code Benjamin Dover-Full name Benjamin Dover-Vehicle owner’s full name and your relation (if applicable) 90210-Zip code 877-123-9876-Phone number...
  4. If they made a full EV Maverick, would you buy, switch? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

In my case, an EV would work fine, I typically drive less than 50 miles a day, and 2x a year I drive to the other coast (of Florida, about 120 miles each way) to fly out of Fort Lauderdale. I have a garage I can keep it in, and have solar on my house. I'd be fine with it, wife still has an...
  5. Non-lockable gas tank why?

A locks only keep out honest people and deter mischievous youth. A thief would damage the vehicle to remove the lock, and still get what they want. I had a locking cap on a vehicle once. after a couple months I got rid of it, because remembering the key every time I wanted to fill up was a...
  6. What brand Battery Jump Box have forum members been buying?

I have a GooLoo, it's probably 5-6 years old now. Bought it to carry in the bag of the Harley (Motorcycle batteries can be killed quickly if you leave the lights on). I have used it to jump other people much more often than myself. It had jumped a Toyota Camry and a F150 in the same Day, and an...
  7. Do you let people test drive if sell private party

I sold my 2006 Mustang to a guy who didn't want to test drive it. Worked out the deal, payed me, and asked if I could hold on to it a month or so until he was ready for it. By this point he owned it, so I was like sure, I can let it sit in my garage for a month longer. He then called one day...
  8. Id rather have a PHEV Maverick

How does it do that? Fuel is not necessarily easy to acquire alternatively and the government can easily control the prices of it, not to mention fuel taxes. I have solar at home, so I could charge with no 3rd party involved. I was looking at the lightning for the backup power option, being in...
  9. Id rather have a PHEV Maverick

I see that as in the near future, where parking lots will have spaces marked like Handicap spaces are now, that have wireless chargers in them, just pull in and an trickle charge. There are already companies offering 3rd party solutions.
  10. Hybrid pedestrian alarm and backup alarm

What ever happened to person responsibility. I walk through parking lots and with all the other environmental noises, often can't hear a car running at idle, even if they are backing up. I watch for moving vehicles and reverse lights to know I may be entering a danger zone. Heck, I've seen...
  11. Offroad exploring Florida Wetlands with Maverick XL

You weren't at the San Carlos Publix last Thursday were you. Saw a Maverick exactly like yours there.
  12. Maverick Lightning and Ranger Lightning trademarked as Ford's new electric EV trucks

I wouldn't be surprised to see mobile EV chargers being added to roadside service trucks, and/or 3rd party business who does this. I think a service at airports that you give them your parking spot location and return time and they go top off your vehicle for a fee before your return flight...
  13. Mystery pull cord??

Manual park release cable, not park break. Basically like putting the transmission in neutral. If you have no power and can't shift it into neutral for towing, you can pull that to free the transmission from Park.
  14. I just canceled my order

Nope, will end up on a dealers lot with a 15k ADM. ;)
  15. Bluetooth not playing audio

I got that, but the message says no device is connected, so I was questioning whether or not you paired the device, VIA bluetooth, to the head unit , and as Darnon said, it may be a permission issue.
  16. Homemade double Kayak sled (bed mounted)

Gotcha, couldn't see there the kayaks were strapped on the back side.
  17. Bluetooth not playing audio

THe Apple carplay is by USB cable isn't it, so that would be no indication of Bluetooth connected or not. Ensure the bluetooth device(phone) is paired to the head unit.
  18. Homemade double Kayak sled (bed mounted)

Looks like the only thing holding it in place is the 2x in the tailgate gap and the tension straps at the front. No concern for hitting a bump and the whole rig popping up out of that tailgate gap?
  19. 3 D Printed Heated and Cooled cupholder for the Maverick

interesting, but don't see any practical use for it. :) Seems easier to keep a small cooler with ice and water, and use an insulated drink bottle.
  20. Android Auto stops periodically

I'm pretty sure it's the android auto app. I've had occasional issues with it just stopping or not even loading in my Jeep. They've been making some major changes to the app and it's features lately, so there are a lot of ways for them to inject issues that they will have to resolve as they...
