Everyone is a comedian. I get liking older formats, I'm all over with the old stuff as well as the newest mainstream. During an unemployed period I gathered parts to convert an old add on underdash cassette player to broadcast BT. But then I got hired (not complaining) and I had less project time.

I took the BT part which can also receive and connected it to an 70s/80s shelf system so I can stream Spotify etc to it.

The OP didn't ask how to listen to music. The OP asked if a plug-in CD player was available. If you don't like to listen to music that way, that's not the OP's problem.

Many have gone back to vinyl. MP3 compression format removes a percentage of the sound that supposedly can't be heard. Its BS. The older tech has better sound range. New tech with tiny screens and speakers are terrible. Like the difference in live music compared to headphones. Your analogy doesn't work.

Hell - Lets have driverless cars! Better yet, peopleless Earth. It would be far better off.

That is genius, but you need a power amp and bigger speakers. Remember the rack set ups in the 80's.

I have other setups for when I want more volume, this is just my little WFH office set up. I mostly use it if I am up in the middle of the night testing a release where I can't blast it anyway, but I need something to help keep me awake.

Got the Posspo Jupiter (link in reply #18). Works great! Going to mount it on the front of the center console with some Scotch removable mounting putty to see how that works.
