I know there are some audiophiles out there who may be able to answer this question. I purchased a portable CD player for my '23 Lariat with the B&O system because I have several hundred CDs I like to play periodically. The first one worked great for about a year and a half until it stopped being recognized as being plugged into the USB port. I bought another one of the same model and this one also worked well for a couple of weeks until it would play about halfway and stop. After unplugging the USB connection and reinserting, the 'USB device recognized' message popped up followed by 'indexing audio" message. Even though USB is again an option under Source, there are no music tracks showing. It's just blank as if there is nothing on the CDs. I also have some music loaded on flash drives and those still play with no problems. I'm stumped! Not sure if it's related, In the system I have it set on 'automatic updates,' but checked manually anyway to see if there were any software updates from Ford available, but I'm up to date. Any idea why this might be occurring? This is the player I have been using:

That's got to be awkward to manage. I have a HUGE music collection ripped to MP3/AAC

and I bought a phone with extra storage and just carry it with me wherever I go. Requires a time investment up front, but well worth it in the long term.

But I have no answer for what you're trying to do. I've never heard of anyone doing that outside of a stationary RV.

Nice. A lot of this used to be CDs... a decade ago.

Sorry, @FordDiehard, I can't help you either - but I also strongly encourage ditching spinning media and anachronistic player devices at your earliest opportunity, if possible... :)

I can't tell what brand this is. I got this one 3/24 and still works fine.

Those, like the one I have purchased a couple of times are sold under different names but look identical. I ordered a different player that looks exactly like the unit in your picture from Amazon, but it's branded as BDYING. This one is doing the same thing as the originial model branded "Xglysmyc" that used to work fine.

I also use the Passpo Jupiter and have had no problems.
