Ford has always been a good stock , back in the bailout dip , i knew ford was still cash rich and would walk on govt offer , i bought extra , gm closed up shop ford had dipped to 2.40/share or so . Within 4-6 months , i had made enough of 5-6k extra to buy a nice boat.just sold that boat !Once again, thank y'all for your help. I don't recall (?pun) the dealership offering me a free oil change; even if they did, it's nearly 45 minutes to an hour one way, in Houston traffic. So, just not worth it. I've changed the oil and filter myself in every car I've ever owned, except for my wife's Toyota Highlander (too much trouble). There is something nice about knowing that you did it yourself : you got the oil and filter you wanted, and the job was done as it should've been. Even the skid plate was easy to remove and replace. All in all, it's a pretty easy job.
On another subject, admitting now that I do not own 5 million shares of Ford, I will say that they got a decent recommendation from "Value Line", trading at an amazingly low 6.6 P/E ratio,. Not a stock you will make a quick buck on, but it does pay a fat 5.6% dividend. "Value Line" liked it for a long-term hold, so it seems like a reasonable purchase for an IRA.. steve
I got to wait 2 hours because my agent scheduled 2 appointments at same time. Then he was gone before license plate install. No coffee water or anything. Oh they forgot tool box and net.sad, I got coffee and a doughnut
I got a hardy handshake.I just finished doing the first oil change on my 2024 Maverick. As I was about to start, having already purchased the oil and filter, my wife asked why this wasn't a freebie. I must admit I didn't know what the dealer said about perqs with the purchase of this truck. Can someone enlighten me about what I'm missing out on. I only have about 1200 miles on the truck, but I wanted to do an oil change during its break-in. Thanks, Steve.
But no laurel?I got a hardy handshake.
The truck was listed on the dealer's website with the discount. When I asked for a final price, I got hit with the add-ons. It was whole laundry list of worthless items that had no value for me. The window tint was already done but they let the paint sealant and the rest of it slide. After some back and forth I made an offer and the tint ended up costing about sixty bucks. Fair enough.@Bosquebass you got a good deal, for sure. I paid window sticker and thought I was brilliant for getting them to knock off several thousand in "mandatory add-ons". s
