Exactly. Remote start has nothing to do with it. Also, the inference one gets from this thread is that this happens to every Hybrid every time you let you let the car warm up in cold weather. There is absolutely no evidence of this. Logic would indicate that this rare problem is due to a faulty sensor.
Some one should do a poll to see how many people have ever used their remote start. I've got it and have never used it, and have no plans to use it. It just came with the package. I doubt I'm the only person like that, but maybe am.

Only time this makes sense is if electric with electric heat/cooling. to save battery, remote start uses level two charging to condition the car. Car doesnt start or run - even PHEV remote start will not start engine. With modern fluids with great low temp capability, engine warm up is not needed. Just dont floor it 3 sec after startup!

I do not have a Maverick yet. I love remote start in my old cars. Here in Denver Colorado the windshields often have a thick frost on them, most mornings. Sometimes it takes at least 5 minutes to even put a dent in thick ice before you can take off and drive.
I can drink a cup of coffee on my warm couch or sit in an ice cold car till it is loose enough to scrape the ice. I think I am getting old.
Northville Michigan where you live even sounds colder than here.

Possibly the ambient temp sensor? Mine is jumping up and down like a fake air/fuel ratio gauge. -12, 0, 30, -7, 22, and so on for the entire drive, every drive.
My temp sensor seems to be accurate and does not jump around while driving and I have the irregular idle when warming up, with a key start and with remote start via fordpass.

Haven’t used it, and will not use it.

Here is another one, this guy on here? haha

Since I bought the truck about a month ago, it always does this weird engine revving sound while idling on cold days. Temp was -2 (f) during this video. I popped the hood after letting it run for about 10 min, and did not see the catalytic converter glowing red, as some people have claimed.

Fuck you. That's what you always say. This problem has been going on for a while. Tell us about the current hypothesis from the team that is certainly investigating the issue.
There's a real human on the other end of that message--and they may not be in a position to respond right now. It's OK to press for answers, but being kind will likely get better results.

I tell people to fuck off in real life when they are acting like that, and I expect the same from them if I do.

This is the 2020s. Platitudes and empty words don't fly. Give us candid responses and you'll have our respect.

This needs to be said again...

While a response is appreciated. The copy-paste responses are becoming obvious and look particularly bad on an enthusiast forum.

In my opinion, a pat, seemingly indifferent, response, is every bit as upsetting as no response.

I do realize that the Ford representative cannot elaborate on the issue, and I realize that corporate would ask for their correspondence to be brief. But the issue that the original poster cited is a MAJOR safety issue. Correspondence should've been immediate, and it should have reflected a measure of concern.

I don’t need your respect—especially if it requires me to tell someone to fuck off.

To the bigger point, the Ford rep on this forum is likely limited in what they can do and say. Insulting a low-level employee isn’t going to help solve this problem. Rather, it’s likely to discourage them from engaging, because nobody wants to be treated that way.

Any word from people that give us Maverick news or info? I feel like they’d try their hardest to ask for us or anything. But I haven’t heard a word. Not saying they’re supposed to, but they let us know about so many other issues and bad news, so I thought it would make sense about this… considering how it’s MAJOR
