Went to start Eco Mav with Ford Pass, negative results. Removed key from Faraday pouch started. Maybe it's been on MTC before but I haven't seen it and didn't feel like searching. Hope it helps someone. Have a nice Christmas everyone.

FordPass has nothing to do with your key. You possibly didn't have cell signal, then did...
Faraday pouches for keys are hilarious, don't be so paranoid. Unless you are in a large city parking in a public place often you have very little to worry about. Now-a-days as long as they can access the vehicle they don't need the keyfob anyway, you can hack it using the odb connection.
OP may have been concerned about battery drain. Hence the signal-blocking pouch.

If the key is always sending a signal, what would a pouch do to stop that? lol you guys are hilarious
Uh - it would block the signal. You do understand that which you mock, right?

Whether useful or not a different matter.
Keyless entry option and keys sitting in tray close enough to truck, would stop extra interactions and battery drain until fob decided really not going to be used.
Trucks always on the lookout, but at least not seeing the fob stops any prep for takeoff and then prep for sitting, as you can hear relays doing otherwise.

If it sends/receives a signal via battery, it doesn't matter if in connection or not, it's still trying to send/receive data. Bag or not, the thing is on. But mmkay, keep bagging up your keys.
They are talking about the keyfob signal engaging with the truck and causing the truck to spend the TRUCK's energy from the truck's 12V battery. It has never had anything to do with the keyfob battery.

Correct, that's what I was referring to. Regardless, it's pointless.
Your description sounds like otherwise.

If you did mean truck is always checking for fob signal - correct.

But perhaps you don't realize about the relays and systems activated and prep for driving that is done, and then prep for parking that is done.
And fob being seen is part of that, especially Lariat or keyless-entry systems.

Thanks guys or gals. Just a coincidence I guess. I do live out in the country so cell service is weak at times.
