  1. Had just about enough of battery saver and deep sleep

I think the sulfation is the problem. The battery sulfates from just setting around partially discharged. It gets discharged because of all the electronics that are running even when it is shut off, plus all the communication going on between the truck and Ford. After the battery gets a...
  2. Break In Opinions

My power meter rarely goes over 20%.
  3. XLT vs. Lariat Debate

The left hand pocket in all my blue jeans is wore through from keys going in and out. Now with my Lariat I have no need to pull the keys in and out. My blue jeans will last much longer now. I love the Lariat
  4. Push to Start Button Myths Debunked

Just find out where the level sensor is and bend it or tilt it so that it always thinks it is on a hill.
  5. sudden lose of regen at slow speeds under heaving regen conditions with nearly full battery

If you are really worried you could put it in tow/haul mode and the ICE will never shut off.
  6. Pre-collision assist auto braking - anyone had it kick in to save them?

I will get the warning quite often, must be my driving technique. A good way to set it off is first to go through a car wash to get any bug residue off so the radar is working well, then when you come up behind someone that is turning into a driveway and is almost stopped but his tail is still...
  7. Stuck at the Car Wash

If it is a car wash where you stay in the vehicle, and the chain pulls you through, there is really no need to press the L button, just put it in N. At the end you just turn the dial to D and drive away. If you engage the L button you have to put it in Park first, which I find inconvenient at...
  8. Michigan roll call!

Mine went from Walbridge to Wayne Assembly where it was unloaded from the train. You could see them behind the fence, and from there to the dealer via truck. They won't let you in to look at them a Wayne Assembly, I asked. The Railroad runs that lot, and wouldn't even let Ford people in.
  9. Disappointing 31.5 mpg on 850 miles trip: LA-Arizona-LA

I have noticed that the MPG the computer shows on the dash is ALWAYS higher than what you get when you divide the miles driven by the gallons bought. It makes you feel better to see the trips that say 75 MPG, but at the end of the tank the miles driven divided by the gallons is almost exactly...
  10. Highest odometer mileage so far?

    7,946 on a Hybrid Lariot since 1/11/22
  11. Clicking noise inside dashboard

You have to sign in and then go back to your original post where you first put in the VIN, and then you should be able to edit it, make what ever changes you want, and save it. I'm not sure how or if you can edit replies to your original post that quoted it. Probably only the person that...
  12. 📈 Maverick May 2022 Sales: 6,089 Sold / 7,842 Produced

IT sure looks like the Maverick sales canalized the Ranger sales. The combined Maverick and Ranger sales aren't as great this year as the Ranger sales were last year. I wonder if Ford is worried about this?
  13. Any Iowa folks?

I think your chances of getting a 2022 Maverick are better than the Elio. I'm still waiting on my Elio too. For the $100 all in order I got a "Genuine Elio" t shirt, just glad I didn't go for the $1,000 all in order. My brother is waiting for his Elio too, he lives in Walnut, IA.
  14. License plate location

The nice thing, now that there are getting to be more Mavericks on the road, is that when you meet one in traffic, and didn't notice it coming at you, you can just look in your rear view mirror and see the offset license plate and know that it was a Maverick and not a Ranger.
  15. Handle lock/unlock quit - anyone else?

Thanks for the tip. Mine did the same thing and disabling and enabling the intelligent lock fixed it. I never checked the passenger side so don't know if it worked or not. I hope it lasts, but if not I know how to fix it. Thanks again.
  16. Kellyblue Value . For fun I tried it out

Dave Ramsey will have to change his advise about only buying used cars, He should say buy a new Maverick.
  17. Hybrid average MPG in Normal, ECO, & Slippery modes

When in Slippery mode the brakes aren't as aggressive, and since I've gotten used the the less aggressive braking, if I do forget to put it in Slippery mode, the first time I touch the brake I get a reminder because of the more aggressive braking, and I switch to Slippery mode. If you are...
  18. Full size spare not the correct size

Or when you do need it..... your other tires will be worn down to the same rolling radius of the brand new spare.
  19. Hybrid favorite drive mode

I like Slippery too because of the coasting instead of braking when you are trying to nurse from hybrid mode into battery mode. Plus it greatly reduces the brake grabbing when stopping. I get 1 MPG better mileage in Slippery mode vs ECO mode to boot.
  20. Hybrid average MPG in Normal, ECO, & Slippery modes

Yeah, I should have mentioned it, I did the same. The only time I turned the heater on was when climbing a hill and the engine had to run for power anyway. After it warmed up the heater could run while in electric mode, but if it ever made the engine start I shut the heater off. I should have...
