Ford failed to properly test the airbags from their suppliers and 65,000 vehicles were built with faulty airbags. Now they get to pay for that mistake in new parts and labor. The fact that they made it tough to service these airbags and don't have proper training required is a Ford/dealer problem. No sympathy from me.I don't think the average car owner has the remotest idea just how hard it is to get good technicians these days. Trades are losing people every year and it is hard to get people into blue collar work. The cars are getting more technical, and in fairness this is a brand new model. There are many repairs that are going to be a first for technicians. So, while the OP has been inconvenience and that sucks, think about how much money the technician will lose working on his truck before calling him dumb from the comfort of your keyboard.
