  1. 2023 Maverick Lariat FX4 - totalled during shipment - Part 4 - Finale (05-31-2023)

My final thread on this forum. Today (05/31), I found out from Ford Marketing (after I called) that my Maverick was totalled; no reason given as to why I was not notified by Ford months ago. The Ford Rep also told me it was up to my dealership to re-order a replacement before the model year...
  2. 2023 Maverick Lariat FX4 - totalled during shipment - Part 3 (05-30-2023)

My 2023 Maverick supposedly "totalled during shipment" on 03/29/2023 is yet to arrive. Ford never confirmed it was damaged, Ford never suggested a replacement, and the dealership is unable to contact the Ford rep (allegedly). Yet, Ford continues to update the tracker with a new arrival date...
  3. 2023 Maverick Lariat FX4 - totalled during shipment - Part 2 (04-07-2023)

05/21/2023 - So, though my 2023 Maverick was "allegedly" wrecked in a train derailment on 03/29/2023 (I say "allegedly" because Ford never confirmed the wreckage), I continue to get shipping updates in the tracker. The dealer couldn't confirm if Ford is building a replacement; apparently...
  4. Finally got my "Another update on your Ford Order" email

That’s an “amazing” update. Supply chain issues, ok, right. Since my Maverick was allegedly destroyed in a rail car accident on 03/27/2023 (which Ford is yet to confirm), I haven’t heard peep. Not a word from Ford. Dealer says they haven’t heard anything on a resolution.
  5. Competition: 2024 Tacoma First Look Leaked *Official* Image

Since my 2023 Maverick was a total wreck during shipment and I haven't heard from Ford, or the dealer on a resolution, this alternative (though a bit more expensive), looks real good. The Maverick I ordered was $40k, I figure I can get a Tacoma in that range. Can't wait. I will officially...
  6. Only 1 week old... and this happened

That's gotta hurt. You, not the truck. But, I can relate to this. My Maverick was wrecked and unsellable during transport to the dealership.
  7. 2023 Maverick Lariat FX4 - totalled during shipment - Part 2 (04-07-2023)

Here's an update to my original post on 04/04/2023. I have not received any confirmation from Ford that my Maverick "was" damaged; dealer contact only. The dealer contacted me on 04/04/2023. Per my salesperson, they haven't heard from Ford on "next steps"; so, no proposed resolution thus...
  8. 2023 Maverick quality control

The dealer said it's not sellable giving me the impression it was written off.
  9. 2023 Maverick quality control

So far, crickets from Ford. Only had deal contact.
  10. 2023 Maverick quality control

I wasn't given much information from the dealer other than "damaged in transit and not saleable".
  11. 2023 Maverick quality control

You're in a better place than I am. Got word yesterday my 2023 Maverick was damaged during shipment and totalled.
  12. 2023 Maverick Lariat FX4 - totalled during shipment (04/04/2023)

So, I received a call from my local Central Florida dealer today with not-so great news. I was hoping to hear it was ready for delivery since it was shipped 03/01/2023. Instead, the sales advisor reported the Maverick was destroyed during shipment. He also reported that "they" will try and do...
  13. Shipping

Can you please check Railcar #TTGX982032? Supposedly, it was received at Junction Point (Union Pacific) in Gateyard, IL, no date given. Info from Ford. Destination is Orlando, FL. Why would it go to IL first?
  14. Mabett | Maverick Fender Flares

Man, your team is putting together some fabulous products for the Maverick. The wheel molding and splash guard combo is great news. Fog lights to follow?
  15. What should Ford change on the 2023 / 2024 Maverick

Rear defogger (not sure if that's an issue with current owners, I imagine it would be, current owners, please chime in), rear a/c vents, and front parking sensors.
  16. AREA 51 Maverick Photos / Club

Mine's on a train heading for Orlando, FL. Can't wait.
  17. Mabett is selling and developing hundreds of products

Before I opened this post, my heart skipped a beat - thought I would see fog lights! However, I will snap up 4 or 5 items of interest.
  18. Airbag Recall Done Now Back-Up Sensors Dont Work

I am not blaming the tech. I am in the automotive services business and fully aware of the challenges of sourcing techs. Hiring, "training" and mentoring new techs should be on a top priority. Going by this comment "On top of that, they told me this morning airbag recall was 2hrs and ended...
  19. Airbag Recall Done Now Back-Up Sensors Dont Work

All of this sounds like typical dealership BS. No knowledge of the products they sell, lack of training and just plain overall dumbness.
