Was in Genoa City but, I followed a job down to the Peoples Republic of Illinois, now in a wooded area outside of Lemont. Where's Rosco?
Roscoe IL and beloit wi are both on the state line... If u fallow i90 out of Chicago once it meet up with i39 in Rockford IL. It head straight north till you get about half way up in WI before it starts to head west again

But ya beloit is right on thw IL. /WI.. Border and Roscoe is just a a few miles south in IL
Right in beloit i43 starts and heads to Milwaukee wi... About 6 miles out is clinton wi. That's were I places my order at. It's called Tom peck ford it's a small town / country dealership... I have personally never bought a vehicle yet threw them (first time will be when ever the mav arrives) but have been to the service department a few times. I was surprised by them had a F350 in for a new vacuum pump and was quoted 650 for parts and labor.. When I went to pick it up they said it was just 475.that the tech. Got it done quicker so the labor wasant as much.. Man I'll tell u that surprised the hell out of me...

The summer of 2021 for me in Northern Idaho was one of the worst on record and I drove a 1980 F150 with no AC all summer to and from work. I would normally be just happy rolling down the drivers window and opening the wing window.
After a summer of 115 degree days I told myself I wasn't going to go through that again. And here we are on a Maverick forum talking about AC. :giggle:

I haven't been able to enjoy my AC yet, summer is taking its time this year getting here. But I will be ready, LOL
Wing window. I really want a wing window!

I will say this, I'm almost always running ac. But with the hybrid I'm more aware of the affects on the mpg compared to my old Buick.

But with the lariat I've got the power rear window and running the vents or cracking the window with that open gives great air flow that ac isn't needed in a lot of instances. Once the height of summer hits I will, no question. But it's the one benefit I didn't realize about that power window.
My exact thoughts concerning the rear window. Great air flow with the driver's window down and that tiny back window open. If you live near the coast, the ocean breeze is a natural AC.
I've not noticed any difference in the mpg in the hybrid with the AC operating.

Off topic, I know, but your description of Illinois is simply the best. Tragically true.

Here's a look at the under seat vents to save your neck

Just enough to pffffffft some air past the front seats from below
Can you tell me if the under seat vents work for heating and air conditioning?

Does anyone else find the AC to be very loud? Maybe its just because the hybrid engine but it really seems loud compared to previous vehicles.

I didn't notice it being any louder and I have the hybrid. Perhaps when on Max AC? I haven't had the occasion to use Max AC yet.

There's vents under the seats? Do you mean just the normal spacing under the seats? I suppose I should just twist myself into a pretzel and look for myself.
that is good to know, thats what we do on my wifes kia soul sent floor and dash vent to A/C and cold air comes out from under the front seats to the back.

I'm impressed with the AC performance of our XL EB as well. I still don't understand why the window sticker says "manual AC" when the truck clearly has automatic single zone, though.

I drove our Mav Sat and at first I was happy w the A/C it was 90°+ I was going to greenhouses and had to park in blazing hot sun for hours. I bought some orchids w blooms that wilt fast in a hot car. It took awhile for the A/C to cool the cab down enough for the plants. I vented w the moonroof to help but closed it after a minute or so. It never got really cold thou & I dont like that the middle vents are so low. Those vents will help w the lack of back vents which I am concerned about, my dogs get pu from playcamp w the Mav. I will be taking it for nano ceramic tinting ($650) in the next couple weeks which should help alot. I may have to get a small fan for the back seat, I used to have to do that w my GC Jeep to get a/c to my panting dogs. My husband was happy to hear I don't want the truck for my weekend orchid & plant buying trips 😆
Geek air makes some awesome battery fans.

Anyone else notice the hybrid A/C turns on when the ignition is turned on? I have A/C off and fan on 68 when I shut off the truck. When I start it, it always turns on the A/C even when it’s below 68 in my garage or outside.. WTF

That has an odd ring to it. I don't get that kind of 'buzzing'. Dealer?

Had several mid 90 days here and used AC, worked great. Truly happy with all of it so far.

Would you be able to post a similar video to compare? You know how dealers can be. I'll take it in this week and report back.

Also, this isnt even max AC, which is even louder
