Check your cabin filter. Also, never use those knockoff no name cabin filters as replacements. They are too thick and will cause your HVAC system to run overtime.

I've also noticed my Mavericks A/C is basically Mr. Frost and the auto temp setting needs to be much higher than it was in my previous Escape. I'm not sure if it's just due to the location of the vents in correlation to the temp sensor or what, but the usual setting for me is around 70-75. I also try to spread the A/C across all the vents (floor, windshield, and front) and have never used the MAX A/C button.
