Check your cabin filter. Also, never use those knockoff no name cabin filters as replacements. They are too thick and will cause your HVAC system to run overtime.

But that's probably not the cause or the answer you needed. Just info for this thread.

I've also noticed my Mavericks A/C is basically Mr. Frost and the auto temp setting needs to be much higher than it was in my previous Escape. I'm not sure if it's just due to the location of the vents in correlation to the temp sensor or what, but the usual setting for me is around 70-75. I also try to spread the A/C across all the vents (floor, windshield, and front) and have never used the MAX A/C button.

Now that's warmed up in Ohio, I have started to use the air conditioning. It seems impossible to regulate. To bring the temp up at all, I have to go to 78 degrees. What am I doing wrong?
