Now that the weather is heating up, I've had more opportunity to use the Maverick's A/C and wow, I'm very impressed with the wide variety of fan speed settings and the temperature offerings. Lowest temp in my 2002 Isuzu Axiom was 65º. The Maverick's settings go much lower at least to 60º. Not sure what temperature "Lo" is. The fan is impressive and when set on the highest speed cools off the cabin very fast. I can see why Ford opted to not put vents in the rear seat ... price point and a high speed A/C. Still would have liked to see them as part of a lux package. Anyway, those are my thoughts. As always, your comments are welcomed.
Yeah if theirs one thing positive to say anything about Ford it's that they know how to boost the AC system in a vehicle.

I drove our Mav Sat and at first I was happy w the A/C it was 90°+ I was going to greenhouses and had to park in blazing hot sun for hours. I bought some orchids w blooms that wilt fast in a hot car. It took awhile for the A/C to cool the cab down enough for the plants. I vented w the moonroof to help but closed it after a minute or so. It never got really cold thou & I dont like that the middle vents are so low. Those vents will help w the lack of back vents which I am concerned about, my dogs get pu from playcamp w the Mav. I will be taking it for nano ceramic tinting ($650) in the next couple weeks which should help alot. I may have to get a small fan for the back seat, I used to have to do that w my GC Jeep to get a/c to my panting dogs. My husband was happy to hear I don't want the truck for my weekend orchid & plant buying trips 😆
Thank you for the input! I like the idea of having a small portable fan for the back seat. One powered by USB would be ideal ... no batteries to worry about. Better venting for the rear seat would definitely be an added bonus for your situation.

It's not really hot in Tucson yet (about 95 today) but the AC seems fine. I ran some errands with a friend at midday and it was plenty cool when set at 72 degrees and the fan on 3.

Later in the afternoon I remote-started it when I was about 3 minutes away and it was cool when I got in the truck.

Bear in mind, though... no humidity here.
Thanks for the input. I'd be interested to hear how it does in higher temps you're sure to experience.

I've had other Fords (Flex, Windstar, Aerostar), but don't recall the A/C fan blowing as hard.

90 degrees?! But it snowed yesterday! Crank up the heat! Of course, our water levels are good so it evens out. I'm looking for a set of steelies for snow tires. Here in Wisconsin/ The Peoples Republic of Illinois shows help. I'll bet that snows/FWD are almost as good as AWD. Six months and counting for my XLT hybrid.

FITSfan!

😉

(Hm. Now eyeballing the USB powered little fan kept on the floor under the desk to provide breezy air circulation to lower extremities during the more sweltry months in the tropics.)

My mom has driven a Ford for 30+ years. Ask her why, she will tell you they make the best AC. Dad bought a Honda she hated, rodents totaled it (long funny story- it was new), and it was replaced with a Ford promptly.
My Fusion has the best A/C of any vehicle I've owned! The car cools down by the time I am 1 block down the road, even after sitting in blazing sun all day. I am not even someone who likes it cold in the car or house. I've worked outside in a landscape nursery for yrs, I don't like to go really cold after being outside all day. I keep my house A/C high at 80°/74° I'm comfortable w ceiling fans going.

Maybe something wasn't set right lol

I’ve not had truly hot weather to test it, but I do know that in the 70s outside I need to keep it set well above 70 inside or it freezes me out. I’ve never had a vehicle that would do that.

Tint will help a lot. Mav is a fish bowl. See if they'll also do your moonroof.

Great point and good advice. Love the visibility the Maverick offers, but there's a bit of a price to pay for that ... heat.

Works great for me in NEFL! I’ve been keeping it on auto, mode 1 or 2 depending on the temp, and it gets it cool quick. We’re basically in our first summer now and it’s really impressed me. We’ll see how it does in July and August though.
Oddly enough, seems our hottest months in SoCal are September and October.

Here's a look at the under seat vents to save your neck

Just enough to pffffffft some air past the front seats from below

The Maverick doesn't have rear AC vents but it does have air vent under the front seat for the benefit of rear passengers. This pic from reddit is of the floor underneath front passenger seat.

Same solution as what the 2021 Bronco has.
