haven't hosed it out since fall. 50 bags of mulch and 20 bags of garden soil hauled this spring. Just blow it out with the leaf blower. I'm happy with the ESI seal kit. Plan on ordering some GCI cover rail clamps from ESI. GCI was kind enough to send me several different styles to try since they don;t list any for Mavericks. Found one that with minor alterations will work with the Rough Country rails and allow the use of the Ford Flex bed rail tie down anchors.
I actually quoted your previous post with the pictures. Allowing me to see where you mounted the seals.
It appears where you mounted them is clear of area where the tailgate damper operates.

Yes. I don't have the damper but the instructions apparently took it into consideration. I added a small piece at the latch area after seeing a bit of water infiltration. They do supply a bit more than needed, luckily.

Nope, not yet. I don't know how well that seal kit will work with my slide-out bed tray.

Might create a friction barrier to how it slides.
I don't do any off-road, so I don't have a need for the bed seal, however, I can see how useful it would be for those who do.

I don't want to install them, then end ripping them up, and when I pull the tray out.

You're smart to be cautious and of course, there's no way to tell until it's too late.

@Glen Baker LLC I'll try to get some photos this evening of the ESI seal installed. I don't see anything in the picture of your bed tray that would interfere with the seal.

Here are the pics of the ESI tailgate seal installed. I drive dusty roads/trails in CO a lot, so this is a must to keep the dust out.

@Glen Baker LLC , the seals mounted on the sides of the bed opening protrude into the opening only very slightly (maybe 1-2mm), so I think you'd be OK as long as your careful sliding your tray in and out. From your picture, it looks like you have pretty good clearance there.

No problems with the tailgate seal coming loose or losing it's stickiness due to dust and water, etc?

None at all. It has very good adhesion after two years, and I would bet that I would destroy the rubber trying to remove the seals without using a heat gun to soften the adhesive. Just be sure to apply to clean paint.

Terry,
Thank you for the pictures.
The only seal that I think would get tore up from the tray, would be the inner seal on the bottom sides.
If I were to install the seals. I would cut the sides at the bottom short. Allowing for the tray to pull out without hitting them.
Again thank you.

That's the seal that I mentioned, or at least I think we're describing the same thing. I don't think you'll have to cut it short, because the side seal doesn't really protrude inward any more than the post of the bed that it is attached to. I believe your tray would hit and be stopped by the post (that the 12V access is in) and not damage the seal.
