Say what you will about the Lariat's interior color combo (I happen to like it), the fact that they are leather type seats is one of the main reason I upgraded to the Lariat (finally time for a little bit of luxury in my vehicles). I'm down in Florida where it likes to get hot and sticky. Does the Active X material stay cooler?? Will it stick to the bottom of your legs in the summer?? Just curious how it behaves in hotter climates. I plan on tinting the front windows and I always use a windshield sun shade when I park so hopefully that helps as well.

For what it's worth, I had a Fusion Hybrid with the all black interior, leather seats, and it wasn't an issue for me when I lived in St. Cloud. It was obviously hot, but nothing out of this world. Tints and shades should be just fine.

Then again, I'm from Puerto Rico, so super hot car interiors is the norm for me.

And yes, the Lariat interior looks awesome.

I'm curious about this, too. I've never had leather seats - because I'm frugal (not cheap!) and I thought they would he hot in the summer and cold in the winter. I've known more than one person who put seat covers on their leather seats.

I had black and red leather seats in my black Focus and only on the hottest days with the leather sitting in direct sun did the leather seats every feel too hot. Those were real leather though. Not sure about Active X. My only experience with fake leather seats was my Mom's 1980s Volvo station wagon with Naugahide seats that burned your legs and made you sweaty and sticky.

I live in GA and have had several different cars with both leather and various forms of pleather.. never an issue.

I live in the south, not the deep south, but the part that has plenty of days in the 90's. My Toyota has its version of Active X in black. It's surprisingly fine. I drive wearing shorts, and never need to throw down a towel. I think you'll be happy with it.

I have had leather, real leather, upholstery with nearly all of my cars since 2005. The leather does get hot / warm... but not so much "sticky"... Cloth type is the only means for avoiding that - or some sort of a cover over the leather - which is ridiculous in my estimation. Now for all of the comments to follow...
