Seating Comfort

After our trip to Texas and back, 1500 miles or so, we decided the next long trip will be in the RAV. The seats have more adjustability for both seats, which makes a world of difference.

Found out in the second week with my new 2025 XLT the seat wasn't good for me. This inexpensive cushion is still going after a year. https://a.co/d/03g3xUt6 Friends on this forum suggested it and for $25 it was a safe gamble.

We all have different bodies, and Ford seats can vary by trim. I can say my XLT LUX heated seats are the second most comfortable I've had in a long lifetime and dozens upon dozens of vehicles of all types. The key issue for me was finding the correct lumbar support setting.

when i got my '22 XLT HYB,I got seat covers(ASAP) and replaced the 5 rung lumbar with the 7 rung lumbar and bolstered that-first drive was from Orlando,FL to Charlottesville,VA and it was no problem

I'm thinking that it may be less of the seat and more of the age of the rear that occupies it...
Come to think of it, I could use a new rear end, as mine is past its use by date...

Minimum $250 for a Recaro seat, or $5 for a memory foam neck pillow......I'll take the pillow, thanks!

My my wife's Escape is still more comfortable than my Maverick.
The seats are larger=more thigh support and have more padding.

Likewise, for different reasons. I have cloth seats in an XLT but the white/brown dog sheds a host of little white whiskers that imbed themselves in the material. Picked up a set of leather(ette) seat covers off Marketplace. Tauted as Katzkins, but I think not - I believe they maybe Mabetts; either way they will add a little bolster to the ride, as well as a fur free surface.

I was thinking it would be nice to be able to sit for long periods of time, vs being unable to do it at all.. There 's that, and I don't want Kim K to feel like she needs to do yet another unnecessary procedure to keep up..

After 7 really amazing months driving my 26 Lariat without a single complaint, now I finally have one. Took it for its first long road trip this month with my grandson (300+ miles each way), and I gotta say that we both felt pretty stiff and achy at the end of the drives. I may be concluding that the ergonomics just don’t work for me but I dearly hope that’s not the case since I love everything else about it.

Has anyone out there found effective aftermarket solutions to this conundrum of mine?

Most cost effective/perm solution I found was going to the Upholstery shop and had them swap out the factory foam for firm Memory foam. Both seats done in a day and I believe it was $625 for both. Extremely comfortable. I regulsrly drive from UT to TX to MI and back.

The only thing I don't like about memory foam, is when it's left out in the cold, like overnight in the truck it's as hard as a rock.

After a long cold night, you would prefer that it forgets... but it's memory foam....

$250? I spent $1,500 per seat thirty years ago. And that was mid-range. Worth every penny too.

The cheapest listing I saw was $500 a pair - that's why I used that number. You could spend 5 grand (maybe more) on one seat. I will never own one, hope you enjoyed yours~
