We've owned vehicles with acoustic glass and without acoustic glass, and I've never noticed any difference. Then again, I've never driven the same car with/without back to back.
I'm not concerned with this at all. There is no safety benefit to acoustic windshield glass. Having owned everything from Mercedes and Porsche to Kia and Nissan, I haven't ever owned a car that I thought was objectionably loud.
