AC stay on as default?

I'm new to the forum, I just pick up a 2025 XLT hybrid FWD last weekend, so far loving the gas mileage. i have a question about AC, it turn on every time i start the truck! I have to shut it of manually evertime! Is there a over write for this default settiing? please help

Are you leaving the fan on auto with a temp that's lower than the cabin temp when you start the truck?

My Auto A/C handles all that for me.
I just pick a temp.
It’s a Lariat thing

In the settings you can change some things (i assume the xlt is similar to the Lariat) . Also has settings for the hvac default when you remote start. But basically, if you have auto turned on it will set the hvac to heat or ac depending on the outside temp.

Even after following the instructions under the section titled "Switching Auto Mode On and Off?"

You may be asking for something the display is not capable of doing then.

What happens if you touch the auto "button" 3 times?
I do believe it will cycle between OFF speeds 1, 2, 3, back to OFF.

Go to the 15.3 minute mark in the video that I linked below. The person demonstrating the video shows the screen and where the auto fan setting is the word off shows up before he presses the button.

Your screen should look like the one picture below and I've kind of drawn arrows to the buttons.
At this point if you still can't get the results you want. You may have to go back to your dealership and have the salesman demonstrate for you and answer your questions.

Even when you turn “auto” off and the AC off…the truck just seems to do whatever it wants. It’s annoying but you just learn to deal with it.

The ONLY way to ensure that the AC is TRULY off and won’t ever start again…is to turn the FAN SPEED to zero. Makes no sense. Just how it is.

I wish I could help you further but I do not own 2025 I will link another video from long MacArthur Ford done by the Tim the Ford video guy. He may go through the climate control in some depth. Not owning a 2025, I've not watched the full video.

Much easier in the pre-25s.
In pre-25s in manual mode, just tap the giant temperature knob to shut down the HVAC system.

Gremlins thrive in the black heart and twisted circuits of the HVAC controls. They turn off Recirc mode at random times just to drive my GF nuts. It's working. She says she would never buy a Foooord. So... When I said I would buy her a car next year, I hadn't thought of Toyota or Honda but now I'm toast!
