Your's is the second scheduled order I've seen from Leif Johnson in this batch. I also placed an order with them in 9/2022.

Allocations are BS...there I said it. So to be able to get a Maverick in a timely manner in my situation I have to travel several hours just to get to a dealership with lots of allocations vs being able to buy from my local small dealer that is great to work with near by. Where I live they sell more big trucks vs small vehicles so they get screwed on the allocation algorithm when it comes to mavericks. They had 12 orders placed last Sept mine was one of them and they have had 2 built in that time. At that rate i may get mine by 2026 or later because the only way to get private offer is to stay with the original dealership. The ordering and car buying process is more convoluted than it has to be.

Edit to add: I know I'm not the only one in this situation, just frustrated with it.
I have a very similar situation and I agree.
I ordered a 23MY from a small, rural dealer with a great reputation on 9/17/22. Several months ago I realized that they may never get an allocation for my Maverick because they are mostly a Powerstroke dealer. Before I ordered the 24MY I asked them how many of their 23’s didn’t get delivered but they declined to give me that information.
The allocation system seems like a self fulfilling prophecy. Don’t sell many Mavericks or other economy vehicles, we give you less to sell. No soup for you. As a result the dealer gets less economy vehicles to sell every month.
On the surface it seems like Ford is punishing the dealers but ultimately it’s the customers who are paying the price, in my opinion.

I don't think it is punishing the dealers. If anything, it isn't saddling them with inventory that won't sell. If economy cars don't sell in that market, there is no reason for Ford to send them.

It sucks, but we as consumers have to do research before we engage with dealerships. Look at their inventory. If you never see economy vehicles, odds are not great your Maverick gets scheduled. But you would likely be ahead of the curve with a Super Duty order.

Which dealer was it if you don't mind me asking, Corning Ford?

I stopped by my dealer today to ask about their stats. They said they had 3 carry overs and 1 truck so far in the pipe with a start date of 10/30 and he believes they have an allocation of 20. He estimated that there are 4-5 ahead of me so a fair estimate that I should see an order date sometime in November. 🀞

Which Leif Johnson?

I ordered my unicorn Xl hybrid from Leif Johnson truck city in Buda sept 2022. I was told they had enough allocations to cover the rollover:sneaky:
My friend ordered his lariat hybrid there also sept 2022. Unscheduled
