This week I applied sound deadening to the inside of fenders, under the back seat and in the back doors.
The difference in road noise is worth the effort.
I plan to do the front doors and under the carpet.

You do damn good work. Nice cuts and layouts - did you get a decibel reading before and after ?

Hopefully you did this to better hear the sweet “piped-in” engine sound? We paid extra for that - even in my base Lobo!

Nice work! I hope you will show the rest of the job when you complete it.
Please take a dB reading when the project is finished.
My 25 XL AWD reads about 74dB at 70 mph.
Thanks,
That's tough to compare from one car and one place to another. Soooo many variables, such as tire model and wear, pavement type, etc ...

That sweet sound comes through the sub woofer which is ducted to the underside of the cab.
Thanks - I did not know that! Do you know if the base lobo has the same sub woofer as the high lobo? My base has standard speakers - high has B&O…

Don’t want to distract from the sound deadening topic - but sound deadening WILL help me hear the sweet fake sounds better.

The sub woofer is on the passenger side behind the back seat.

How tough was taking off the door panels? . . . I'd worry about breaking pins/connectors.
I watched a couple of videos on line.
You have to access some bolts before popping the panel.
You can do that by removing the little cover behind the door handle, the window switch plate (separate the switch connector) and the red reflector on the rear end of the panel.
You will need a 7 mm & 8 mm socket

A couple of the videos did not remove the reflector and they still managed to remove the panel.
Of course they don't mention if it damaged anything.

Plus tire pressure, wind, wet or dry roads. Type of floor Matt’s, seat covers. I got a pleated kind of heavy dog seat cover in the back. It really quieted my already very quiet Lariat down a bunch.
Using Gods highest tech sound meter. We call them ears.
