shoot, I put this in my scion tc 5 years ago, 2019. wireless CarPlay, works perfect. plays movies/shows too for passengers via my 512gb micro sd card lol. there a trick took 30 second to enable perm demo mode, ie, movies etc while moving.

500 bucks back then, still works perfect. glorious

The XL/XLT radios are problematic. I've had no real issues with Sync 3. They have lost much more money going with those radios than they would have putting Sync 3 in everything, a system that was already 5-6 years old at the time of the Maverick launch. Penny wise, pound foolish.

By fit and finish, I more mean the rest of the vehicle. The 40k Maverick has the same plastics as the 20k Mavericks in 2022. It has the same cost cutting under the hood.

And that in my opinion is the most frustrating thing about the Maverick. I really wish they shipped more refinement at 40k.
Again it's debatable, you may perceive it as lipstick. Other perceive it as functional and ergonomical. Either way they are different and it's an upgrade

oh yeah, im not arguing, im just saying I put that unit in my older car 5 years ago, and I love the functionality of wireless CarPlay. honestly cant live without it ideally. plug in for long trips, but daily driving, works perfect. it was a good move.

only thing im in disbelief is, I guess 25 models removed ability to turn off the screen entirely, which is annoying. if a anything they should of let the area (not vac controls) black out if they really didnt enable the feature due to hvac controls.

may look into some sort of screen tint to dim the screen for night driving options. (Im an outlier and have sensitivity to brightness/screens)

This will be my first new car purchase ever (42m) and I looked at the ranger, f-150, even an electric car/truck. None of them made financial sense for my situation.

The reason I can afford the Lariat Maverick I ordered is the hybrid will add 18mpg to my daily driver and I drive 20,000+ miles a year. The cost savings in gas alone will be $150-200 a month, I have three older Kids so I needed a 4 door with room, I wanted AWD and good ground clearance as I live in the PNW and do a lot of outdoor activity.

So all in all for the price and what I am getting it’s really a decent deal. I just don’t think it’s a steal of a deal like 2022 was, but Fords low price that year got everyone interested in the Mav so kudos to them.

I’ll own this car for a decade so I am happy with my purchase.

The Maverick I have ordered will be 30k, in comparison the Silverado im trading in was 70k new.

It's really what you need, when I bought the Silverado I needed a full size truck.

Recently though I moved though to a bigger city and don't need anything near that size. So going from that to less than half and increasing fuel mileage is a win for me.

You'll be real happy with the vehicle you chose for the PNW, especially with the hybrid AWD. It's been my daily and camping rig for 3 years now.

I'm old school the infotainment screen is new for me. The 24 model year at night goes to a night screen which is really dark grey. Not sure what it would look like if using it for navigation.
So not being used to this feature and I don't mind the screen in daylight but I am fortunate that it goes dark at night. Just wondering if the 25 is similar? It may not because knobs are removed and many features are adjusted on screen.

I hope so, if the actual dash and the screen can be extremely dark, then it's good for me. but I mentioned in another thread, if not, I can just get a little rectangle microfiber towel to toss over screen if ever really need it. I will live. just hope the actual dash gauge goes really dark!

does your 24 model, dim down to extremely low dimness if you wanted? or even off? my car lol. you can turn a little adjuster light knob, and it blacks out the entire gauge cluster. funny- bet that wouldn't fly now a days, bc you cant see speed or anything when its off.

Best of luck with your new truck. Once you get it, start a thread and share some pictures. I would suggest you post it in introduction. By the way Hello and Welcome to MTC

There is so much dishonesty from forum readers on here. That is not a 45k truck. It’s for sale for 49k and the price advertised assumes a 4k down payment. After the advertised price, you can add $980 in dealer fees. Look at the cost break down.

Here’s the window sticker on this truck. My XLT Maverick sticker price is $36k. About 15k less than the f150
https://www.windowsticker.forddirect.com/windowsticker.pdf?vin= 1FTEW2LP4RFB92672

A lot of people are complaining about the price increase of their vehicle but there was not an AWD hybrid to compare it to prior to 25’
And then people say you can buy an f150 for just 10k more. Yes that’s 10k more. And the f150 gets less than 20MPG.

There is not a 30k truck on the market to compete with the Maverick.

You can’t compare apples to oranges and say they are similar.

It automatically dims or go dark. Yes it does turn off as well. Just a reminder it's a 24 model year.

I do not know if you can or can not dim the screen. With it automatically going darker I had no need to try to adjust it

$40k plus for a FORD???
When the warranty runs out on my Lariat, I'll be looking around in a Toyota dealer's lot.
Same issues, higher price. The Toyota tax is no longer worth it. The latest generation of vehicles have seen massive cost cutting, even over there.
