Tow Hook mounting for Maverick

I'm sure this has been a topic before but couldn't find one. I believe there is no tow hook that comes with a new 2024 model. Is there a place to install one and any information on how where or if would be appreciated.

If you do not have an FX4 , or Tremor, there is no place for a tow hook. The factory hook uses 2 bolts to the front of the unibody frame and then the 3rd is this long monstrosity that passes through that same portion of the frame to a threaded hole that doesn't exist on non fx4 or tremor. Kinda silly if you ask me but we will never understand why Ford does some things.

It would be nice if there was an aftermarket option... but have not seen one yet. Not sure how you are suppose to hook to a small hole... ???

“Do not use chains, cables or tow straps with metal hook ends.”

what on earth are you supposed to hook in there then?

if you would read the manual. it tells you exactly how to use your tow BOLT holes. and guess what your truck comes with 1 bolt in the spare tire kit.

My thoughts are if you managed to get a bolt, hook or anything in that Mickey Mouse hole the force of pulling the stuck truck out would rip right through that thin unibody metal

If you have a hitch, you can easily find hooks or shackles for a rear recovery point. That would at least allow you to back out of a jam, even if it didn't allow you to press on forward.

Maybe Ford will surprise us, as part of their consolidation efforts, and just have that 3rd attachment point bracket on ALL 2.0 builds,,,,,,

I did not see anything in the pdf manual about how to use the tow holes. Are you talking about the abbreviated manual in the glovebox?
