There are things what I don't like and if it is easy/possible to to change, it had been done already. I'd prefer better ride that gas charged shocks/struts provide, but not going spend a bundle on it now to have it. The strut tower brace improved steering, it's good enough for now. The sound system is the same, the sound quality is eh, but it is OK until I decide to keep, or sell the Maverick. If I keep, it'll be updated.

Not much can be done about the engine, that sounds like a sowing machines at idle. Had I known in advance, but that's on me.

The quality of paint, interior/exterior plastic are not the best, but that's a trade off for the lower price in my view. The Lariat Lux comes with comes with lot of chachkies, most of them are electric. I don't really care about some of them, while others are nice to have. It would had been nice a front parking sensor, but I probably didn't order the right package.

Some of the features are disabled by the system, like auto start/stop, due to the weak battery/charging system that is atrocious at best. Especially for people who live in cities and drive short distances. My truck has ~2,600 miles on it in ten month and I fall into this category. In this thread, I've learned that I am not the only one with this issue, some people had the battery replaced twice in a year. Battery might not be the only issue, the Battery Monitoring System (BMS) could be an issue as well, that stops charging the battery after 65, or 75 percent charge. Currently, the battery in my truck is 43% charged and going in service this Friday, I do hope that they can remediate this issue.

If not, that might be the last straw that broke the back of the camel. Having a vehicle that may not start in the winter is unacceptable. It's too bad, the Maverick is a nice little pickup otherwise. I will not put up with the atrocious battery/sharging system and will sell the Maverick in the spring...

Push to Start is the silliest "deal breaker" to me when people say they can't buy a vehicle because it doesn't have it.

Not referring to anyone in this thread, just speaking in general.

Is not fidgeting with a key that you have to keep nearby anyways really worth that much value to potential shoppers???

Wild.
My Mav is the first car I ever owned with the push to start. At first I hated it. Now I don't hate it but not in love with it either.

My 2018 Camry SE had ACC and the lane centering stuff (love the former, hate the latter and always left it turned off). That was a $23,500 vehicle. I think they are like $28,000 now. It also had the fake leather seats and a Sirius capable stereo that are only available on the Lariat. It also got close to hybrid mpg without being a hybrid. I gave the car to my daughter and she loves it because she says it never needs gas. I wish Toyota would hurry up and make a serious Maverick competitor. I love my Maverick, but some of the options or lack thereof are baffling.
They've only been making Camrys since.... forever. They have it down to a science. And they're not part of the UAW, so costs are kept down....

My wife LOVEs not having to take any key out of the purse. Just get in, push the button, go.

Maybe a Toyota @ 50k would be a better fit!

My 2008 Prius has that and my basic wrangler had it as well. It came in handy during the winter and at other times going to/from the gym! I do miss it and know I could have bought the Lariat, but that came with other things I didn't like. Maybe in the near future all Fords will!

As far as the interior goes, not a fan of the orange accents.
Push start would be nice option.

Never thought my Ecoboost sounded like a sewing machine. I actually think it’s pretty quiet which depending on your preference, can be a good thing for a four cylinder engine.

That noise is from the high pressure fuel injectors (GDI). Kinda the natural of the beast.

I love the fact that it takes a physical key. Never did like those start buttons. As for the features I'm coming from an '09 Ford Ranger Sport 4x4. So anything relatively current is an upgrade. It'll feel like a cutting edge spaceship to me.

I've always bought used cars that were appealing that I could afford so I kinda what I got. Had to buy my first car ever on a pretty small budget. Not discounting your opinion or anything. Everyone has preferences. Just pointing out to some people these things are positives. Guess the market and Ford decides though so maybe the Maverick will eventually get these changes you'd like to see.
