2025 Mav keyless entry

I'm so disappointed it didn't come with the Mav. I just picked mine up on Friday, and discussed with the dealer about them installing it when I ordered the truck, but it got forgotten. I'm glad I waited, I don't like how it looks. (I do love the invisible one on some of the Explorers).

It's great to have when camping, first person up can start the coffee, no matter who's car the stove and coffee is stored in. We'll see how it goes for the first trip out. I'm not really keen on the rest of the group having access to the car via Ford Pass.

BTW - @Don806 I like your placement - I might go that route.

It’s been handy to be able to get into the truck when I don’t have keys or phone. Most of time it’s getting into the bed

The center console vault is nice. It's small but it fits my keys, wallet and a micro-compact pew.

I was really bothered they took this away for 24 besides ordering a stick on one and having the dealer install it. However since I’ve had my truck (24 XLT Eco AWD, FX4). I’ve never missed it since the new vehicles have the Ford Pass with the apl where you can lock/unlock and remote start from your phone. I don’t see the need for this option. Both my other Fords have the keyless touch pad on the pillar. I use it quite often in my ST but that is a 17’ and has no Ford pass App so I see why they eliminated it. Just my .02

or did you have an experience where you locked, and then looked at phone for cell service?

I agree - vast majority of my trailheads have no signal, for a mile or two going down the road.

I can see it now - arrive back tired, hungry, cold, and now aggravated I can't get in.
Not thinking clearly walk that 1-2 miles back to cell signal for phone - then realize truck still doesn't have it!!!

I wonder if this AT&T deal includes some data roaming?
My cheaper Metro doesn't with everyone, sometimes voice only I've noticed.

I agree, if your keys, phone aren't in your pocket they can't get lost on a hike, in the water or riding an ATV.
Just put the phone and the keys in the truck and lock it. The keypad is just handy to have

Oh heck, I used to use a bumper jack on my rusty 68 Impala to crawl under and wire up my exhaust with a coat hanger. It's called evolution (not sure how I slid through).

One day I set out to work on my '72 Eldroado in the garage. I needed to remove a front tire or some such.

The parking brake latch didn't work, so I simply put it in park.

It wasn't until it started rolling that it occurred to me that front wheel drive meant that the rear wheels weren't held still in park . . .

Still looking for a replacement bumper jack.

Warmed up enough today to do some decal work and I also put the wireless keypad on the truck
Decided on the tailgate above the handle

Thanks for the great idea. I really like your preferred location the best. It would be really handy for me to have the keypad in this location to unlock the tailgate for accessing my tools underneath the bed cover.
