2025 Mav keyless entry

I've noticed that ford is trying to save a few bucks by not including keyless entry on the lariats anymore. sad. I've also seen that the mounting location is now on the door above the handle. I prefer the pillar mounted keypad. Does anyone know if the 2022 keypad will work on the 2025 models?

I had proximity keyless entry and push button start with my Encore and it was nice the majority of the time.

Having the keyless entry keypad when doing activities outside the truck, where there is a possibility for keys to be damaged or lost. Example, In the summer when I take Maya to the lake. I go in the water too. It is much easier to clean out my pockets and lock everything including my keys in the truck. Rather than trying to bury them in a safe spot.
I don't use my keyless keypad all the time, but I'm glad I have it.

Does your keypad look like mine?

The plug and guts of the keypad are on the inside of the pillar.
The buttons, faceplate and gasket are on the outside of the pillar.

So... I haven't seen my 2022 since last August , when it went for bypass surgery to repair a leaky heart. But what I do remember looked like what you have pictured. The vehicle actually had a water leak that they could not stop from leaking.....so ford bought back my 2022 and I got the identical vehicle in a 2025 version.

I'll be mounting my keypad in the fuel door. You can take the plastic trim piece off the keypad to make it a little slimmer too.

I was told the 2025 wireless keypads are different than 24 and earlier but couldn't find the right one on the Ford Accessories page (only the 24 model on there). I chatted with a Ford rep and they said they should be available bt I needed to call my local dealer and have them order it. Regarding mounting them - There is a thread somewhere on here that the OP mentioned they mounted the wireless keypad vertically on the door column/pillar - like the old wired ones. Then they ordered Ford Explorer vertical keypad # stickers, that fit (link below)- I may try this.

I ordered my truck with it from the factory. My truck arrived and the dealer said it was on backorder. I went back a few weeks later after it arrived and just had them program it this past Saturday. Took them under 30 minutes to program it.

I ordered it for my 2025...and as soon as I saw pictures of it I was like "naah, not going there. " The dealer forgot to put it on. I think they might have lost it, but ended up knocking way more than the price of it off of MSRP anyway, so I didn't complain.

Kinda sad, those keypads really set Ford apart, and gave a way to lock everything up and not have to carry a phone or fob out. But I guess leaving the fob in the car might have caused some logic problems...
