Searched the forum for any threads about this and didn't find any, so apologies if I didn't look hard enough...

I took delivery of my new 2025 Ecoboost Lariat in late March. Love the truck so far, but I'm getting the deep sleep notifications.

I've read a lot about issues around lead acid batteries in older model years and pretty much everything I've read relates to the hybrid. I have an AGM in my new non-hybrid.

It doesn't just sit, it's my daily driver and I drive it at least 120 miles a week. I'll be visiting the dealer about this, but wondering if there are other 2025 Ecoboost owners with this issue?

Hopefully dealership checks battery condition and alternator . sounds like defective battery or alternator .

yep, I would lean towards this also. the deep sleep is not totally unheard of in the EB but pretty rare, very common in the hybrid from what ive seen on this forum

There is an old SSM about false reports of that, I guess that could be a thing again.

Or you happened to get a bad battery/alternator/lose belt, or truck was made active prior to the long shipping travels (which really shouldn't cause it to be that low).

They will need to keep it overnight for the thorough test - charge up day before, sit overnight, full load test next day. Ask for the tester's printout on that one.

Could also have a parasitic draw - installed any accessories using battery power? got mice that like to get into underside of truck and chew wires?

I have an early production 25 ecoboost which has an AGM battery. We’re currently on vacation with the truck parked in the driveway. Received the deep sleep message about 7 days into vacation. Coincidentally, the same day my wife’s 2020 escape hybrid went into deep sleep.

Early on in ownership had continues deep sleep and was also allowing stop/start to operate . quit using stop/start and not such a problem . cheap flood battery wasn't recharging enough I guess . had jumper cables but didn't want to depend on others . bought a jumpstarter on Amazon plus a voltage register that plugs into cigarette/ accessories socket to monitor battery charge condition . Other day got recall letter about battery but still not taking it in yet . Haven't been inflicted with a no start issue yet . 3.5 years so far but still less than 10k miles . Not a fan of start/stop and don't use .

Update:

Took it to the dealer. They found a hole on the side of the battery and it was leaking. Replaced under warranty and hopefully good to go!

Thanks to those who replied, just a bad battery!

A hole in the side of the battery. Just a WAG that the installer was drinking tequila or the QC guy was on siesta when that one slipped by!
