Unbelievable, but I am getting 53 miles to the gallon in the city driving. Being gentle on the gas peddle but it’s showing me 600 miles on a tank of gas. I love this truck

We're thrilled to hear you're loving your Maverick!Unbelievable, but I am getting 53 miles to the gallon in the city driving. Being gentle on the gas peddle but it’s showing me 600 miles on a tank of gas. I love this truck
A lot of guys spike their mpg’s going like 10-15 mph for a few miles. This is one of best shots showing what is possible - 56 mins to go 56 miles is basically an average of 60 mph all while getting 53 mpg.![]()
2022 here, so don't think mpg will drop with age. This was my morning round trip including dropping a kid off at school and a drive thru wait, all with the ac at 62F. It sips gas when you are gentle with the throttle and know how to keep it in electric and sync the gas engine times when you actually need it. A regular commute and you'll start adjusting your driving style like a video game getting a high score.
Yes, many have, including myself. It is set from the factory at about 5% high. I have tracked all 433 gallons that I have pumped into the truck over 16k miles and compared every tank.MPG...Has any of the members checked the actual MPG against what the info screen shows? My last tank true MPG were 3 MPG less than the screen reading.
Mine is fairly consistently 1-2 mpg more than the actual calculation for miles to purchased gallons. Only once in 40k+ miles have I filled the tank and gotten even the exact mpg, never better than the screen.MPG...Has any of the members checked the actual MPG against what the info screen shows? Where does one adjust AFE Bias? Forscan?Yes, many have, including myself. It is set from the factory at about 5% high. I have tracked all 433 gallons that I have pumped into the truck over 16k miles and compared every tank.
This can be adjusted in “engineering test mode” (search for this on the forum) to be more accurate.
I have moved my “AFE Bias” from 1000 to 950 (down 5%) and it is generally accurate to within 1 MPG.
The only exception to this is if I use remote start. The fuel economy computer is “not aware” of fuel used during remote start cycles and does not use this in its average calculation.
Best of luck!
Engineering test mode. It can all be done through the dash of the truck. Get in the truck, hold the OK button as you turn the truck to run without starting it. When you see a green “ET” on the dash (after about 10 seconds) you can let go of the OK button and scroll through the menus to find the AFE Bias section.Where does one adjust AFE Bias? Forscan?
