on the Fusion Hybrid there used to be a battery indicator to show how full your hybrid battery was. I wish the Maverick had that as well just to know when the ICE is going to come on.

Maverick has it. It's called EV coach. It's in one of the dash settings. Highly recommend it in city driving. Not needed on the highway.

Great reminder.

I agree the battery level indicator is indirect as to be useless. The Prius version is hard to grasp at first but you can know everything at a glance.

How far you can drive on continuous EV power in the Maverick really isn't the point. It's not an EV or even a plug in hybrid. It's meant to have the ICE go on and off throughout the trip. I think a more important number would be the miles of EV only driving compared to total miles of the trip. Last week I drove 97 miles, and 50 of that was EV miles. I am sure others have done better.

If you want to play the game it's called "Pulse & Glide".

Get up to target speed using gas, then coast or "glide" in EV for as long as possible. In lower than 55 MPH speed zones, I can do this indefinitely with a 75% EV ratio.

But it's a "game" that gets old after a while.

I think the truck will easily do 40% to 50% ratio of EV when under 55 mph without having to play the game.

The difference will be a tank average in the 50 MPG range vs. 40 MPG range.
