2024 Battery made in Spain

I just looked at the battery in my new 2924 Maverick.
It says made in Spain. Are there batterys also junk?

Wow, you traveled to the future to get your Maverick's battery! So cool! How did you do that?

I bet you'll be excited to know that a lot of the 2.5L engines in Maverick Hybrid's are also made in Ford's Spanish plant. Although I believe at some point they switched to them being mostly from the American plant.

The Spain part of it isn't the interesting part, as they've been used since 22MY from posts made, and my Apr '24 was also Spain.

The part to take note of on that label is the 45 Ah, and 65 RC, if you have the 390 version.
But maybe you got the upgraded version!

Hmmmm - Spain and ESP.

Mine same label as Steve's.

And despite no external charging, my battery SOH is 100% either tested by Ah, or CCA, just yesterday.
Somehow.
Of course the SOC at 11% isn't good - come on battery, poppa wants a new one under warranty!

The upgraded version is the Max series. 470 version. 585 CA, RC=65A

Hmm, I thought and could be mistaken that the Hybrid engine was assembled in Mexico. And the Ecoboost was assembled in Spain or Ohio.
I think I read that on a Ford sheet listing differences in trim levels, packages and such.
Again I could be mistaken.

Well, in 3 or 4 letters.

Hybrid. (my truck mfg 3/24, has engine from 2022, Feb 24th, interesting delay in usage. Go engine team! Come on assembly team...)

I have had no problems yet. But just 1300 miles on the truck. My voltage im mornings testing with a volt meter is just 12.23 volts. Have never charged it

Ah yes, I knew one of them had some production in Spain. Must have mixed it up.

I think some of the 2.5L production is coming from the USA. Maybe that was just while they were sorting out the engine fire stuff.
