It’s the same screen though the software doesn’t matterBecause you have Lariat Luxury Pkg with Sync 3, all the complaints are with the base system.![]()
you think the screen is different or just the guts/brains?Because you have Lariat Luxury Pkg with Sync 3, all the complaints are with the base system.![]()
My screen is too bright, infotainment works flawlessly, and the rear view camera works just fine and is plenty clear enough to back up a vehicle. I do have a Lariat, but those features would seem to be universal across all trims. I hear Land Rovers are crap cars even though they are considered a "luxury brand". As for the engine, I too was surprised at how quick it isYup, it's a crappy screen. The Maverick (with exceptions) Is a bottom of the parts bin vehicle, so that's kind of expected. Anyone who has test driven a Santa Cruz, with a bright, high resolution, large screen and modern software immediately sees the difference.
The crappy screen goes along with the crappy infotainment and the crappy rear camera. It's kind of the old saying "you get what you pay for". In the Maverick's case, I get that there is a lot of cheap stuff on the truck.
But I'm also blown away at how much engine I got for my money with the ecoboost. I'm wagering larger and better screen and infotainment with a 25 or 26 refresh, with a price increase to match. Just a guess. Based on sales, the Ford engineers seem to have done a really good of balancing cheap where most people don't care (read the posts that will surely follow) and spending money where they do care.
Same here on my 22 XL.The screens on my 22 and 23 XLTs are perfectly bright...
Display unit appears to be the same part number (NZ6Z10D885A), note it's listed as both "Less Sync" and "Sync III" (and under the misleading category of "GPS Navigation System"). That said, the hardware driving it, and which controls brightness, influences image quality is different. There's more to image quality than just the LCD panel itself.you think the screen is different or just the guts/brains?![]()
At night time its so dim all of the letters look fuzzy and extremely difficult to read. While I'm older, younger people think its horribly dim too. I first noticed it when I 1st saw it a the dealer, but I thought the overcast weather and screen protector were the cause.Does it even look dim at night or in garage?
No problems with brightness at all with my base infotainment systemBecause you have Lariat Luxury Pkg with Sync 3, all the complaints are with the base system.![]()
