Same here, though I'm coming up on 30 years now.

In my case I'm a service connected disabled vet out since 95. Not eligible.

Still rocking the X-plan that one can get thru DAV, so that works.
I just squeaked by in terms of eligibility considering my ETS was just under 2 years before my Maverick was delivered, that being said I think it's a huge slap in the face for Ford to put limitations on the rebate especially when other foreign manufacturers offer a Veteran's discount with no limitations.....

What is an "X-Plan"? Sorry for my ignorance
Partner pricing from Ford. You can qualify for it a number of ways but the two easiest (or most common) are through Mustang Club of America membership ($35 annually) or being a Ford stock holder.

Both have restrictions.

I still don't understand their take on a "Veteran's Discount."
Should be called "Recently discharged Only Veteran's Discount."

"The Ford Military Recognition Program is available for service members whose separation date is 24 months or less."

I've been out 20 years, so was not eligible.
Well that sucks. Good to know though, thanks for the info.

I'm not sure that X-Plan is .4% under invoice across the board. I can't find anywhere on the partner site to verify that and the discounts listed don't match up.
Its Invoice - 0.4% + Admin fee which is either $250 or $275.

I understand the X-Plan doesn't give much of a discount over the invoice price but I'm using it to limit the dealer fees. The dealer in Florida I ordered my XLT Hybrid from has a $1,295 dealer fee which is ridiculous.

A quick check of their website shows that they have 12 Mavericks available. Every single one of them has a $10k ADM tacked on 😲.

I'm not eligible for the Veteran discount either since I've been out since 2017 but I have the X-Plan through the DAV 🇺🇲.

My dealer couldn't/didn't know how to apply X-Plan pricing with the 2022 Price protection pricing.
Since I already had the $500 Farm Bureau rebate and MSRP, I was fine with it due to the small discount anyway.
Same with my dealer on my 2022 with a VIN rollover to 2023. Said I would lose my price protection and special offer.

Definitely didn't mean to poo poo any discount - especially in today's world. I'll take every dollar I can save even if it was at the $256 for an XLT - but I am happy to see the invoice - .4% + $275 and members reporting savings between $700-$900.

My loaded Lariat Hybrid MSRP delivered is $35,995. X-Plan is $35176.73. So an $818 savings, PLUS my dealer normally charges a $500 DOC, but is limited by Ford to $100...thus a total of $1218 savings. Well worth the effort.

How did you find out doc fee is limited to $100. My guy is charging $799? Are you a Ford employee

The A-plan is a better discount. Plus your options get discounted as well as the invoice pricing and doc fees. Don't forget you drive pay holdback and you save on taxes some too because the total is lower. I saved about $1400 on my XLT.
I ordered via A-Plan, but my paranoia makes me think A-Plan is being blackballed to the end of the line due to Ford not making any profit on those deals. Plus with added hassle to the dealer of waiting for reimbursement from Ford once the vehicle is sold, do they need that hassle on a vehicle they can sell anyways?

When I ordered in September, my dealership didn't honor the A plan. But I emailed after my build date was made and they told me they would honor it now. I have a build date and a written guarantee for the A plan, so I'm good. But I agree, be they will probably move away from it at some point.

It is a part of X-Plan rules. Dealer is not allowed to charge more than $100. I read there are some states that have odd laws regarding the DOC fee consistency, and if I recall correctly, the dealer will get reimbursed from Ford if in one of those states with weird laws that DOC fees MUST be the same for all purchasers. I read that a long time ago, and it didn't concern me, so I didn't save it.

Not working for Ford...my X-Plan is from the "Friends & Family" X-Plan. There used to be X-Plan for stockholders, but that has been discontinued.
