After a 3 month wait, my Alto Blue Maverick finally arrived at the dealership! When I approved the order sheet, I put “x-plan pricing” beside my signature, and also mentioned it to the sales person I was working with. Today during the paperwork, I was told that they would NOT allow x-plan pricing, (even though Ford says that it is available), and have not done one in years. Sooo, there was a $795 dealer fee, exorbitant admin fee and large doc fee added to the MSRP. Under x-plan, the dealer fee is disallowed, and other fees are limited. They would not budge, nor would they discount the base price by the corresponding dealer fee to enable a win win.

I walked out. I later got a call from the GM, but only reasons why they couldn’t do any better. Needless to say, I’m quite disappointed.
Oh no. I hope I don't have issues with it as well. When I ordered mine there was brief discussion about x plan, but nothing concrete.
And I'm sorry. This must be very disappointing for you.

My truck came in on Nov. 1, almost two weeks earlier than planned. It is a base XL with only trailer hitch and full sized spare as options, they let me use the X plan but it only saved a total of $115. I don't think they applied it properly since the Doc fee alone should have saved $100. Oh well, it was better than nothing.

what did you pay for Doc fee? If it was over $100 they will send you a check for the delta. Ford verrfies all X plan program deals and any difference is supposed to be refunded via a check.

Should have been at least $150 off a base XL plus a discount on options.

The 0 dealer fee and limits on doc fees is what I was after. Keeps dealers honest and reasonable.
