I've been checking the used 2023 Maverick values on KBB and they seem to be crazy high.

For example a 2023 Lariat EB AWD with 1,000 miles shows $42k for trade in or $45k for private party.

I know a few months back that the trade in values were pretty good, but is anyone actually getting those numbers today?

I just had Carvana and Vroom make offers on my brand new 2023 Maverick XLT Hybrid with only 30 miles on it. I paid $28,381 total out-the-door.

I needed the value for Quicken. Since I paid for my Maverick in full with cash from the sale of my MY2022 Maverick. Without the value it would have looked like $28,381 disappeared from Quicken.

Carvana's offer was $32,126 and Vroom's offer was a complete joke of $26,000.

I sold my used 1 & 3/4 year old MY2022 Maverick with 9,269 miles on it on 8/28/2023 for $31,404 to Carvana.

For my MY2023 Maverick the offer from Vroom was not even serious and even Carvana's offer was only $722 higher than my used MY2022 Maverick that had 20 months of the 36 month bumper-to-bumper warranty used up and 9,269 miles of wear on the tires

Can't you order a brand new one for less?

I see $45 and $49 on kbb for mine. Last week. The actual amount may vary.

I would recommend anyone trying to continue making money of theirs should do sooner rather than later as the 24’s still are able to order shows me that are going to not only be available on the lots soon, but cheaper than these used ones 😉 which should also be available quicker once ordered as well. The whole pandemic/parts constraint change of supply caused inflated prices for used & dealer markups are over, most dealers have rebates again on new vehicles already.

Values for the Maverick will continue to stay high - but those values are insane.

I would expect anyone looking to part with a 1-2 year old Maverick in good condition can expect to get 90-110% of the sale price of the vehicle.

I paid $31,300 for my Tremor that an equivalent MY24 Tremor (de-contented) runs around $38k currently.

I was expecting 4-5k more on my 2023 XLT with Luxury Package, bedliner and hitch.

In my experience the KBB trade in values are about $2k to $4k over the best offers I received from Carvana, Vroom or Carmax. Carmax has consistently been the highest.

I can tell you my 2023 XLT hybrid came in and immediately after I told them I was no longer interested it showed up on the dealer website marked up $4,000 more than what I was going to be paying for it.

$4k is not bad, there are several dealers asking for $10k over MSRP. You would have to be crazy to pay that!

It seems that an XL or XLT with zero options is fetching the most money.

I wonder why that is. You'd think it would be harder to get one with all the fixin's, especially in Michigan.

Prices will continue to drop as availability goes up. I still see a $5K or more mark-up in my area (over KBB) for used, but expect that to drop.

$27,xxx to $31,xxx.

But I just checked again and now it's up to $33,900.
