No one has unlocked the ECU yet.

I would probably email Burger Tuning, they make the JB4 piggyback / interceptor. https://burgertuning.com/pages/contact

You can ask Panda also, because they appear to have a Racechip-like device under their own branding and Racechip is another interceptor and one of the first to support the '22 Maverick ecoboost.

Just a reminder, interceptors cannot change the transmission programming. You need a reflash tune to do that. So, while I'd consider buying an interceptor, I would also caution you to that once reflash tunes are available (Cobb AP, Livernois, SCT) I would think it very likely they'll be better because I expect the '25 to have dumb factory transmission tuning like the '22-24 does.

So many companies don’t seem to grasp that the new engine has had two years on the market for them to do development and research on. I have already reached out to Livernois in the past and they stated they will be working on them soon. I’ve also tried to get S&B to use my vehicle as a test bed for their intake but they don’t seem interested.

I initially ran a OTS Livernois tune in my 23' Ecoboost Mav. It was ok but not near the performance uptick you get with their 5g Ranger tunes (2.3L). Anyway, so glad I took a chance and bought the Accessport from Cobb. Much better tuning for the transmission and you have control over the auto start/stop and accelerator pedal adjustment without a flash. It's all done in the adjustments section of the tuning. I have 42K on my 23' Mav, 15K with a Livernois tune and the rest with Cobb....I would definitely recommend the Cobb tuning for the Maverick over Livernois when available for the 25' Maverick....IMHO

You are literally the only person I’ve ever heard say that. I’ve gone the opposite. Cobb was not my cup of tea. Many reasons for that. Mainly the software they use is far less that Livernois. Hence why they were able to do true flex fuel nobody else could with appropriate upgrades to fueling.

Second you know you get free upgrades with the lms tune. Hence if you thought it wasn’t ok send a log and they adjust for free.
You could not get me back to a Cobb tune. I have one 2.0 ecoboost from Livernois with 250k of e30 tuned miles. My maverick currently has 45k very hard tuned miles on it.

It’s not the motor. The ecu has different changes almost yearly so they need a 25 in hand to see if they can access it. 22 3.5 f-150 they had unlocked from the previous year. 23 was locked. So they don’t wanna say they can until they have a 25 to know for sure. I would bet they didn’t change anything for the maverick as they are not as popular to be tuned as the f-150’s

Curious if it’s even any different. It’s may not be locked but we should know soon.

I have a 2024 Maverick with the JB4, map 3 with 94 octane Sunoco, AFE intake and aftermarket 18" rims and tires which have saved just over 5 lbs. per corner. Data logged peak boost at 19.2. I have a water meth kit waiting for installation but have no idea when I might get time. Overall satisfied with engine performance but as many have noted transmission mapping sucks.

I would really like to have paddle shifters so I can preselect a gear before pulling out to pass or merge on the highway. I had a second gen lightly modified Veloster turbo, paddle shifting wasn't perfect, but it was far better than the hit or miss Maverick mapping. Paddle shifters in my turbo Passat are also reasonably effective.

Well, I must have had a bad experience when I transferred over from my Livernois Ranger tunes (notice I said tunes plural) to the Maverick. First off, I really like the Livernois programming for the 2.3L in the Ranger. I expected that would be my same feeling about the Maverick programming.....not so. Livernois delivered 1 tune to MyCalibrator and it was not anything like I'm use to in power. Flash forward to a year or so later I see that Cobb offers programming so I got a deal on the AccessPort for $487 and jumped on it.

So you cannot change the acceleration settings in your Livernois tune but I can in the accessport. Also, without a couple of dyno runs I still feel like I get more power from the Cobb tune than the Livernois....heck, I still have my Livernois setup, I can flash to that anytime I want.....but I don't....

Interesting that we have such different experiences....but hey.....that is what is so great about technology and the availability of all these new modifications. It's all about personal tastes right?

Well to be fair that is a full year of more development for the Cobb than Livernois. After owning some long term that’s not apples to apples. Would be neat to update the lms and run them back to back.
Who did your tune? Randy Robles was the tuner for montune and is a great Cobb tuner.
You are correct having options is alway great or we wouldn’t get updates.
