After 14 months I am still very happy with the Maverick. Over the last two months and 1,463 miles it is averaging 31.4 miles per gallon on 87 octane, top tier gas. That is up from 29.2 average for the first year. The ride and handling are very good. I think the better gas mileage started about 2 months ago when the summer blend gas came back. Only two recalls on my truck. I still need to take it in for the update on the rear camera. I originally ordered a hybrid, but the Ecoboost is a great engine. This is the best truck I have owned over my 73 years and I have owned quite a number of them. Most of them were Rangers and most were Fords. The truck now has 9,626 miles on it. Casper, the friendly cactus gray ghost truck rolls on! Have a great weekend.

Thanks for posting I agree my 24 ecoboost has been my best vehicle so far. About the same mileage and just short of the 14 months. How about adding a picture of your truck. I just recently picked up a new utility trailer 7x16.

Shout out to Brinks tailer sales LLC in Holland Michigan.

I've had several trucks, cars hope this truck continues to show me how great it is. Really impressive on what this truck offers.

Almost three years on mine, 32,000 miles. It's a solid ride. Four free recalls so far, but done in the driveway for free. I have no complaints aside from it's too big for me. Honestly, I would have been very satisfied with a much less capable "truck". I'd not hesitate to recommend a Maverick to a friend. I'd caution them about a few things that might bite them. But I'd still recommend either version.

I feel there's now room in the market for a vehicle less capable and less expensive than the "a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away it was $19,995" Maverick. But I don't know if we'll ever see it.

Not even 2k miles. Mine will be a year old June 1st, I have 13k miles on mine already. That's with driving the maverick to work and sometimes the 2014 equinox as well.

Otherwise would be around 20-22k miles on the Maverick.

Very happy with ours also at 3 years old and 28,000 miles.

It took me awhile to get used to the shifter dial but now I wish I had it in every one of my vehicles!

Picked up my truck the very end of Sept 24. Truck is now over 12,000 miles and is ready for it's 2nd oil change. Appointment scheduled for Thursday. Did 1st just over 2200 as I was going to be doing a long drive over Christmas (2000 miles). Was not really keeping track of miles since last change, but was watching oil life till I got to the 12,000, so looked up my oil change miles. To my surprise, just shy of 10,000 since my last change with still 23% oil life. My Escape with the same motor would have been down to 10% life at around 9500. I tow a lot in the winter. Pulling a 90" high, 90" wide, 13' snowmobile trailer from central MA to northern ME or into Canada usually setting the cruise control at 70 on I95 in Maine... Very surprised at the oil life number (always use full synthetic and have the Place Motors in Webster MA do the "Works" program. Very happy with my Mav...

I think the shifter on the column would have been excellent and give it a real truck feel

Have you adjusted the AFE bias on your truck? I'm not saying this is not possible, but I don't think you can average over 36 mpg over the long haul.

The Maverick is the most fuel efficient vehicle I've owned since a 1988 Escort 1.9L M5. I could get close to 40MPG with that, but also 1000lbs lighter than the Maverick.

I have only had my 2024 FWD XLT EcoBoost a little less than a month and only 600 miles so far but I am very well pleased with my Maverick. Only little nits I could pick are with the brakes and the sound system. They are both a little on the weak side.
