SYNC 4 upgrade

Has anyone had a vehicle with SYNC 4? What improvements does it have over SYNC 3? Is 4 as buggy as 3?

Thanks for any feedback!

Price will drop drastically as used screens start showing up on Ebay. I had a Flex with Sync 2 and the first people that offered Sync 3 upgrades were charging a fortune. Within a year you could do the grade for a fraction of the price.

I'm happy to see that we have options now. In addition to this sync4, I know there is supposed to be a metra kit for the maverick but I haven't seen it yet.
I'd much rather have one of the metra dash kits and install one of Kenwood's head units or an Alpine. I put a Kenwood excelon head unit in my 2012 XLT and that thing did so much more than the sync garbage. I was able to add a OEM Ford logo backup camera and it worked, and I could turn it on anytime I wanted to I could also see all the gauges be it RPMs, oil pressure, tire pressure, you name it.

Plus play DVDs for the kids in the car. The Kenwood head unit was almost limitless, Plus it had Garmin navigation with split screen view. Plus it cost me only 650.00 for a refurbished 1199.99 unit, so right around $1,000 for everything including the OEM style backup camera from the camera source that included the guidelines in it. There was also another camera hookup for a front camera as well.

I hate to say it, but as glitchy as my radio has been, and with the issues I've seen in the shop, which for some reason seem to come more in waves than steadily, I have to say I'll pass.

I don't know, $3K for more features I don't use seems a bit high.

I was under the impression that Sync3 to Sync4 you had to have an extra two wires. Maybe that's the older Sync3's.

A wider Spotify portion of the screen. I like my twinkie holder.

I just bought it... I'll let you know as soon as I receive it and install it.
Doing God's work! Let us know, I would be inclined to purchase this as well. I am waiting to see if the 2025 screen can be swapped in (similar to how F150s folks swap dashes and screens)

Your wife asked us to post a reminder that celery and carrots sticks will fit in the cubby, too. ;)

Lift kits, rooftop tents, etc..
But, who needs any of those? My Maverick is a Hybrid, and I am always looking for upgrades that suit my driving style. I love the ECO Boost, but I ordered a hybrid on purpose. I wish that I could afford one of each - one for fun, and one for normal economy driving.

I could be wrong, and I hope I am, but this screams scam to me.
Yeah, something is not right. WHY no installation instructions? WHY no video of the final product shown installed and working? WHY $3,000??? Are adaptor cables/harnesses needed or it it plug and play? Do the on-screen climate controls etc. work? TOO MANY UNANSWERED QUESTIONS and extremely vague info on the web site.
