I just scratch my head why, other than the uglier front end, any sane person would not use that $3,000 plus labor to offset the cost to trade for a 2025 Maverick.

$3,000 for this is extemely pricey. The article does say it comes with the necessary cabling. It better for $3,000. It better be just plug it in and turn it on.

I need the cubby like a toothache and would love to have a bigger screen, but I'd really rather have $3K in an interest-bearing account.

Why, Sync upgrades have been happening since 3 came out.
Everything about the site screams scam to me, I'm not referring to the idea of upgrading to sync 4.

I found this today. (brace for sticker shock!)

SYNC 4 upgrade

Has anyone had a vehicle with SYNC 4? What improvements does it have over SYNC 3? Is 4 as buggy as 3?

Thanks for any feedback!

Sync 4 is every bit as buggy especially with CarPlay.

I just bought it... I'll let you know as soon as I receive it and install it.
Yes please, I like the larger screen BUT I really don't like the look of that installation. If there is a full cover over the back that would be great, but otherwise it is a hard pass for me. The cubby may be silly but it doesn't take away from the look of the dash overall.

I thought the SYNC4 was a Bronco thing. my XL was a late 2021 build. It was sitting on the lot waiting for me. when I got it at a time I was desperate for a new vehicle, after my Escape was totaled when an old lady pulled out in front of me. It’s got a basic radio. I would love the SYNC 3 or 4, but a little costly for me at the present time if I could. switch. My Ecsape had a SYNC3, I loved it.
I opted out of Sync because the version in my '19 Escape was worthless. I was told that if I opted out initially I couldn't get it installed later but I am okay with that, I would like a bigger screen as I have many more apps than the screen can show in two pages but if it means getting back into Sync, unless it has improved a bunch, I am okay as is.

Website mentions it uses oem parts for its kits. Any chance you can list the part numbers used? Thanks in advance.
I contacted the company and the time for the kit to be shipped is around 30 days... As soon as I receive it, I let everyone know any information. Don't think that I am naïve and think that this cannot be a scam. The payment was made through PayPal and any problem I can request a refund. As soon as I have some additional information (whether good or bad) I will let you know.

That's a lot of confidence in PayPal! If I had to guess, it would be something like dragging this out by extending the ship time as long as you will put up with it. And if that doesn't get them past the dispute period, making a tracking number to show they shipped something- maybe even sending some random box of stuff. I am 99% sure you are being scammed and now that Ford Authority covered this, it's feeding right into it.
