Has anyone had the recall done for the 12v battery recall done? I need to go in for an oil change soon and would like to do both together.

Which recall? There was one about two years ago for bad cables, one about a year ago for reprogramming the EcoBoost BMS firmware and one this year for catastophic battery failure on the EcoBoost. There has also been a recall-to-the-recall for the BMS firmware, since some incompetent dealers did not do it correctly. We are still waiting for the BMS firmware fix for the Hybrids that was supposedly due out this quarter, or sometime in the next 4 days. I suspect that Ford is about to mess that up yet again...

Since the OP has a 22 EcoBoost, he is referring to the 12 volt Enhance Flooded Battery recall. So far, I have not heard from Ford. This does not matter to me since I already replaced my EFB with an AGM battery over a year ago.

Most likely Ford is just blowing smoke on getting a fix announced before March 31st for the deep sleep problem. It's more than obvious that a true fix will require more than just a "firm ware" update. If it were that simple, you'd have to believe this would have been corrected way back in the 2022 model year since this problem has existed since then and continues into the 2025 models.

Yes it's the one for the bad batteries. That they may just spontaneously get an internal open and stall the car. Sorry I did not specify which recall.

There is no recall for a battery, Ford will just check out your battery, and if you drove in to your dealer, your battery will pass. I hope there may be a recall for a AGM replacement, but I doubt it.

Yes there is a fix supposedly coming this quarter for intermittent parasitic voltage draw. It may or may not be a recall since it isn't considered a safety issue. For some there was a recall for bad batteries from China. That is separate from this issue. Some owners with the ecoboost have reported the same issue of battery failure, more often with hybrids. Check posts on here and you can find the comments.

The deep sleep problem is not caused by a intermittent parasitic voltage draw. It is caused by the vehicle's inability to rapidly and fully recharge the 12v battery.

Sorry you are wrong. I have the damn paper saying it with an SSM number. It's fact not opinion. When I get on my computer I will post it. A different charge parameter may help with the issue. Read all the battery posts. Good luck.

Search the thread named SSM 53087 created Jan 4th. It's your proof along with many other threads regarding the same!

Here you go Mark.
I'm sitting here waiting to get into the dentist and I have my handy pocket computer/camera i.e. handheld telecommunication device.
I thought I'd give you a hand.

I had the rear camera recall done this week and I asked dealer if they could also do the battery recall. They said the fix is not out yet and will probably entail battery replacement and will probably not happen until 3rd quarter.
I realize that was pure speculation and put no stock in its validity. I just had the camera recall done and will wait for further news on the battery.
I did notice improver clarity and brightness of screen post-recall as others have stated.

I understand you will get a new battery. That it may test good then go bad in an instant. If it was that easy why is there no fix yet?

Some people around here get pretty hard set in their own pet theories as to the cause of problems even moreso than the Ford engineers when they literally document their findings to the federal government.

Like the folks that insisted the backup camera couldn't be only a software fix (even though Ford identified it as a memory leak) and they were surely going to have to strip out everyone's Connected Touch Radio hardware and upgrade it.
