Got mine yesterday! Ford must be finally getting to the end of the carryover orders.
I origianlly ordered the XL at the very last minute before the 2023 MY window shut.
Our 2020 XLT hybird only took 6 months to get delivered and that seemed a long time😅

Wow 54000 - My build week was 11-13-23 and my VIN ended in 02400.
So in 2 months they are making over 50,000 trucks? Way up from the 6,000 to 10,000 monthly they have been doing in the 14 months I've been waiting. With that amount hitting the streets maybe my second order won't be worth much to Carvana.
Although it says it was built 11-15 but still not shipped.
As much as I want it I really dread the dealership interaction to get it. I'd rather have a root canal, seriously.

That's 300,000 trucks in a year at that pace.
Impressive, unless you remember they made over HALF A MILLION Mustangs in 1965.

Ford, I'm still waiting on that priority you said you would give for the rollover orders!!!! 437 days, priority 03, and still being ignored!!!! Keep this up much longer and I am gone! How can you say you will give priority when I am seeing thousands of new orders scheduled before mine????
Why aren't you a priority 2? If your dealer did the rolllover correctly you should be a 2.

Here's the problem with all that.
They just don't care.
Threatening to be gone or other posters saying "I walked out of the dealership" because of a problem - they just don't care.
They will make more money with you doing that.
You could "discuss" your priority 3 with your dealer all day they don't care to act on it. The dealerships are acting like they are not on their way out (which they are) and Ford is acting like they can sell everything they have to anyone (which they can).
They are acting this way because they can and there is no downside to them.
You be polite, do your business, and get the hell out of there. Pragmatic not revenge based.
It's hard to do when you just want to punch your salesmen in the throat and somehow do something to really F the company.

Another user posted here with 563XX as their VIN, ordered on 11/29 and already scheduled… Shortage might be coming to an end.

It's not possible to believe they ordered 2 days ago and are already scheduled.

Might not actually take it once it arrives, since I've been looking more and more at Foresters and especially CR-V Hybrids. Not sure how well the Hybrid (no AWD) will do in the snow, which we get a few times a year in southern Ohio, how practical the Maverick is for a family of three (including a toddler still in a carseat), and a little concerned about Maverick build quality/reliability.

You can't look at a single VIN because vehicles are not produced in VIN order. You have to look at the whole block of scheduled VINs. Someone posted a 56,3XX VIN so that's 26K higher than the last scheduling block, for the next 2 months (Jan and Feb) of scheduling. Right at their production rate of 13K/month for the last two months.

I like in Michigan, it snows here some too, I have never had anything other than one or two wheel drive other than my current 4 wheel drive wrangler. 45 years, I have never got stuck in the snow. The only time I engage the 4 wheel drive is to launch or recover my boat. It's just not necessary even with 6" or a foot of snow. For me 2 wheel drive isn't an issue.

It has been discussed on the threads before but there are few thing that need to happen for the correct priory. You need to contact your dealer at this point it took me over two months to get mine corrected and I had to go to the general manager of the entire dealership and even then they told me it couldn’t be done after I wrote a bad review on Google by some miracle it got done! You want to make sure your priority is correct for a few reasons one you want to be scheduled sooner but also, if things were not done correctly, you may not get your private offer. Look at your order sheets and compare them. The issue for mine was that they submitted my order with my middle name on one and not on the other and that caused mine not to get the correct priority and the sales and inventory specialist, for my region had to correct it and my dealership had to request it. It won’t happen at this point unless you put some effort in. After my priority was corrected I got scheduled during the next round of scheduling. Good luck!

Thanks, and I do think it's easy to give AWD too much credit. My current car is a 2-wheel-drive Accord and it's been fine. My wife has an AWD Prius and I guess it's nice to have the help starting from a dead stop or going uphill, but it's not a game-changer.

If you could have bypassed the dealer and had it delivered to your driveway would you have made a stupid mistake like changing your name on the order?
Exactly.
Thankfully that day is coming, hopefully before I need another vehicle after this 2024.

I swear it's like everyone forgot how to drive rwd one wheel peel on Bias Ply tires. That or they are too young to have ever truly "driven". Newer cars all have so much tech to help with winter driving, and half the people saying they can't drive without AWD. Truth be told many of them can't drive with AWD either, judging be the amount always in the ditches after a snowstorm. When I got my license almost no one had AWD or even FWD.
