1000 Mile Challenge!

Just for fun, and argument-sakes , I thought it would be interesting to compare ~1000 mile cumulative FE averages. I'll kick it off, this is a mix of mostly highway, 2 & 4 lane, rural, and maybe 5% city, no towing, no heavy loads, all on 87 summer gas. I wasn't trying to hypermile, just normal driving, which for me is speed limit +5, sometimes 10. And my AFE bias has been adjusted to be accurate within a couple tenths. '22 Lariat Lux FX4 4K.

Try to be as close to 1K miles as possible. Open to all Mav's! Let's see 'em!

Have just over 7k on my Mav and I am averaging a little over 22 mpg. I do a lot of short trips so I am good with that AFE since it's twice what my F250 diesel gets on the same short trips.

OP is looking for average MPG over 1000 miles, nothing to do with one tank of fuel like the 600/700/800 mile "club" posts.

Let’s see, 1,051 miles divided by 23.51 hours Is 44.7 per hour of engine run time. ?
Meaningless numbers are fun to me.

In my Appalachian mountains with no real city traffic and hardly ever on flat roads and burning through good tires every 30,000 miles because I’m often turning, and on tough gravel climbs a few times a day
My AWD Eco averaged 26 mpg over its first 10,000 miles.
I’ll have to stop playing with my trip meter to get a 1,000 mile average.
Trip 2 gets reset every 10,000
