Have You had that Icon come up on Yours above the 7 on the Tachometer?
No - just above the fuel gauge.

Realized it is the rear left (dtiver side) bumper sensor malfunction. I dented that location weeks ago - still waiting on a bumper to be delivered. Funny, but I did not notice it until I posted the pic. My blind spot monitor is still working though - I checked right after my fender bender. Need to check again on my next drive because I don’t think the warning light has been on the whole time…

Maybe the passenger side sensor malfunction light appears above the tach? Cover your rear bumper sensor with painters tape to see if it lights up?

I don't have any sensors in the rear bumper.

Almost at 9k miles without a reset. If you can trust the numbers, I’ve

been saving some cash at the pump.
In my favor: it’s HOT here, so I don’t lose the winter MPG drop many can get.
Also, 85kph (around 53mph) is the max posted speed limit (that nobody cares about apparently).
If I had opted for the Ecoboost, the cops would never catch me 😇.

Hi babytruk. Hot climate with metric speed limit - do you live in Southern North America or South America or ??

Curacao, so almost South America. Hot every day but no hurricanes (near the USA vacation spot of Aruba).

The most recent 5000 mile average is shown. Older data is dropped. The memory isn't huge.

I agree. My two previous vehicles also reset the cumulative MPG based on most recent usage - 10 tanks of gas etc.

But I do think the Maverick’s memory IS huge. I’m guessing there is data that is stored “forever” - digital odometer as a simple example.

And the thing is - our Maverick’s memory does not need to remember the details of the “10 tanks” of gas. Only the cumulative amount of gas put in needs to be saved.

I keep track of my cum mileage manually. So far I’ve driven 1333 miles on 66.3 gallons. I only need to “remember” the 66.3 and “overwrite” it every time I add gas.

Of course I’ll keep the pages of my mileage log to see trends. But if I only wanted a cumulative MPG - I could toss all data while only tracking my cum gas & odometer:)

Ya. Baffles me there is not a cumulative or lifetime MPG. Does not seem difficult.

Maybe they don't want you to notice a slight decline with age or something.

This is basically my first 1000 miles, though been trying to run the motor rather than stay on electric to get it run in. Anyway 38.9mpg is what it maths to. Using 1.6 km per mile and 3.8 litres per gallon.

Oh well - at least your mystery light isn’t staying on constantly like mine. Starting to get on my nerves! 😬

That sucks Yours is staying on mine didn't look like that. And after that night coming on and going off 2-3 times it hasn't came on again.

I think it's saying you are free to reverse into things without it complaining about it.
Unfortunately I did reverse into a thing (parked car) and the light came on afterwards:)

Been waiting over a month for Ford to supply a new rear Lobo bumper to my Body Shop…going to have them paint it black even though I’m Velocity Blue. Unique Lobo!

Borla Type S catback. Not to be confused with the Borla Sport catback that is part of the new 300T SEMA show Maverick. Same dual black chrome tips which are pretty.

But my Type 3 was so loud that I had to add a muffler/resonator to the system. The OEM muffler/pipes that I removed were very well made btw…
