One of the things I did when I worked work-related injury claims (workmans comp) was google using key words to see if person filing involved in any discussions on relevant forums. Next was Facebook, Twitter, etc..

I googled “broken ford maverick grill” and attached a screen shot for you. Posts to MTC at the top. Keep this in mind when making a decision about repair.

I think he's trying to make a point against fabricating a story...

This is the original post.

First post here !Not sure how this has happened.. or what to do now. Losing sleep knowing it is winter and all the salt and sand will be building up inside of here. Very disappointed on this quality of material. Looking for some advice … should I call my dealership? Local body shop ? Will follow up with a better picture. Thanks everyone.

I am not so sure the OP is trying to make up a story so much as asking what the next steps should be. It seems like everyone else wants to make up stories for him to use. They are the ones that need to be addressed directly.

Cheap thin brittle plastic for sure. It would have been nice to see a heavier impact resistant material used. Cost cutting for sure. You get what you pay for.
I was checking the grill out at my dealership yesterday because I seen this post and the grill part up there seemed pretty darn solid, hard to believe a rock did that and went unnoticed.

OP is XLT, you're Lariat. Hmmm. Must be the material. I will be watching mine like a hawk. But let's face it. I already do!!

Yes doubt if I replace it, I'll wait for good ideas. Maybe the Raptor thing. Oh well, what the hell in the scope of things that is damn small.

My son had a 2017 Tacoma and had the exact same damage as OP, just took a rock and brand didn’t matter.
