Nice ride and welcome to the club.
Installing an auto dimming mirror is an easy mod. Plenty of install how to's here.
You're not alone in the fog light disappointment. Fortunately, Diode Dynamics filled the gap with a sweet package that's affordable and a relatively easy install. The look is OEM or better. Not sure if they have the kit for the 25's, but satisfaction level from members is high. Worth a look.

If you want less regenerative braking going down hills, switch to normal mode instead of eco. Not much difference in mpg. Slippery mode has even less.
Is it enough to really notice? I do mind the extra regenerative braking In eco mode. But the difference in throttle response is what’s slightly aggravating to me. I do 90 miles daily going to and from work with mostly highway driving. i guess I could simply do a comparison for myself though 😂

I have been in NORMAL mode since I picked her up. Haven't tried any other mode yet.
The modes are changed programming wise from the earlier trucks. Eco mode seems to have a wood block under the pedal unless you are half way down on the pedal or more. It limits acceleration for the first half of pedal travel or so. And sport mode is now very fiesty at slower speeds.

I will occasionally drop it into sport mode if I need to accelerate off the line or about to hit an on ramp but I was really impressed this morning stopped at a light, no sport mode, and probably gave her the most beans yet and ICE was on but from 25-40 was all electric power on the gauge and it felt like a turbo kicked in

I am not generally a fan of the 25MY front end. But your pictures for some reason it looks really good.
I feel the same way.
I saw a few '25s around my area and the change to the nose/grill just looks goofy to me.

But seeing them on here has made me like them a lot more. Although, not having physical buttons for climate control is still a deal breaker for me on the '25.
I don't want to have to look over to adjust the air. Buttons let me reach over and get the results I need.

In pre-25MY Slippery was just a tad less regen than Normal.
Eco was decently more regen than Normal.

Indeed the throttle side sounds like more changes done on 25. But I'm sure the ability to have more range to pedal to nail a true coast is easier in Slippery & ECO.

Each seems to have a negative for my normal driving route, so I just do Normal and trained for the true coast Go pedal push. I like the more even response to braking regen in that mode.

Would be interesting to see the mappings on the different modes compared to prior, go and brake pedals.

What about the difference in fuel economy In each mode? In heavy traffic stop and go driving I actually don’t mind eco mode and the heavy regen. IF the fuel economy gains are significant but on the highway, it’s a bit aggravating, AND i imagine the fue savings are insignificant under those conditions. Does slippery mode hamper throttle response?

I thought I’d miss the physical knobs/buttons because every car I’ve owned had physical knobs and/or buttons . And the vehicles I work on at my job made me hate cars with Bo physical controls. But the way it’s implemented on the maverick is the best I’ve seen. The climate control buttons are ALWAYS visible. I’ve only had it a week. And Ive already gotten used to them. Since The Maverick touch screen is perfectly at eye level, you don’t really need to take your eyes off the road as with some other vehicles. I’d advise you to sit in a 2025 and operate the controls before you reject it. You may still hate it. But you may be pleasantly surprised.

Yes it does hamper, and highway not much difference unless you have constant undulations for some slight downhills at the right time.

The modes are really about making it easier to stay in EV for the driver.
In pre-25 anyway (just in case they made a change) - getting good on the brake and Go pedal can make every mode about the same.

Need more regen/slowing when coasting - press the brake more but stay in the regen zone.
Need less regen/slowing when coasting - press the Go pedal to relax it to coast longer.
Slip out of EV mode too easily - more careful on the Go pedal.

Your foot is going to have to get more skilled in any mode I think, or you'll have to look far ahead to plan. Skilled on Go, or skilled on brake.
Want it easier to nail true coast, and also not accidentally bounce above EV mode - Slippery has most relaxed Go pedal so you aren't concentrating as much, then Eco, then Normal.
But in slippery the brake regen is light until the final 25% abouts available of range - so either plan far ahead or get skilled with brakes in narrow range.

It would be interesting what 25MY changes since it already goes up to 15% power still in EV.

I played with the various modes today on the way home from work. I figure that i will likely primarily use normal and eco based on my mood. In stop and go and when using the cruise control, I will probably use Eco. When driving on the road without the cruise control , I will probably use normal. Sport mode will be used when I'm in the mood to show off a bit just to see what it CAN do. The other modes will be used as needed. When in traffic, I do try to use the coaching screen to see how long i can get it to stay in ev mode and to slow down using only the regen braking as much as possible. I did it last light on an 8 mile drive on a country road from my mother's house to my house with a top speed of 60. Mostly 45-50. it showed 46mpg for that trip. it would have been even better had I stayed within the 45 mph speed limit as would have been done in city traffic with several lights. But driving to work and back, I got 32 ACTUAL miles on the last tank with the majority of driving between 75-80 mph. That's not bad. I can live with that

I just got my '25 and I am intrested in doing a few (not too many) mods. Changing the non-LEDs to LEDs is one of my top ones. can you tell me where you got yours and the P/Ns for them. A few of the others I will be doing soon will be bed cover, mud flaps,, and some interior compartmenting. Also, PPF on the front end and tinting a few windows.

I got Diode Dynamics purchased off Amazon. They will work but there are little tabs on the sides that need to be nipped off w/ dykes or small wire cutters for the bulbs to go into the socket.

And this for the bed lighting and high brake light. The Red brake light flashes 3 times then goes on steady.

No... throttle response is still good in Slippery. The Mav does coast better in Slippery...not DRASTICALLY better....but you will notice. Every time I leave somewhere, if I'm going highway, I'm in ECO. If it's back roads and slower speeds with small hills, it's in Slippery. I average about 46 mpg every work week going to and from work. Some is highway....some is 45 mph posted hilly roads. Try the Slippery, you will like it.
