Except for the older Dodge Trucks..

What's he talking about? You have to get EPA and DOT approval to import a vehicle and register it. It is not cheap, if it's even possible.
It doesn't look practical, and may indeed be impossible (like you stated). Apparently you buy and get Mexican plates and registration, and apply for a Temporary Use Permit. The vehicle can only stay in the US for one year or less. However, there are limitations on qualifying for the waivers necessary. The tariff loophole is in HTSUS Subheading 9813.00.05. There are also requirements for a Safety Waiver: 49 U.S.C. § 30112 and NHTSA Form HS-7, and an Emissions Waiver: Clean Air Act & 19 CFR § 12.73.

It may not even be possible to get those waivers, depending on the circumstances.

Currently starts at $47,000usd in Brazil. The 2027 is already out… I wonder if that’s the North American capable model we may see… and avoid? Price is down slightly from 2026.

What do you have? An XL? The seats in the hybrid Maverick Lariat are very comfortable.
My XL seats are very comfortable.

well you can bet your "sweet bippy" the MSRP will be almost $60 K for a moderate trim 4X,if they were cheap the fleets and idle rich would snap them up.( as happened with the Maverick,I remember some "Seppos" boasting they had one or two for the old lady and another high trim level on order for themselves.

Then the Maverick can get the Coyote. Neither is realistic.
they used to put the 302 Windsor in the sport trac,wasn't that and escape chassis? fill me in( the coyote is a wide beast,it would be easier(space wise to install a hemi)

Of course it's physically possible. There's no way in hell Ford would do it, though. It would require the entire driveline and suspension to be reengineered. Ford didn't even bother to add any power for the Lobo.

Coyote is about the same with as a Boss 429 or 426 Hemi. Verrry wide.

AWD activates when it activates. Unless you have the AWD display on, you don't know when you're using it.
True, unless you're using Mud & Ruts or Sand mode. AWD doesn't disengage in those modes.
