So are most or all to some degree that claim to be domestic.
They're owned by Stellantis which is a foreign company. There are only 2 American car makers left, Ford and General Motors.

I'm not that interested off the top, but I do appreciate more competition. The only practical competitor to the Mav was the Santa Cruz (soon to be discontinued), and while it's a slick little ute, it sacrifices a lot of the utility of a "traditional" compact pickup. I'm glad that another competitor is bringing a more traditional mini p/u to the space, as it will only help keep Ford sharp and competitive.

Both these Dodges appear to sit higher,
More ground clearance.

Are they Unibody ? Or,,,not.

They look more,’Trucky’ less Mavericky

I’d bet they cost closer to $50,000…….
Because by the time they come out the Maverick will be $50,000

After four years of production I doubt they will be anywhere near as reliable as Fords mini truck.

I bet they fit in just under the Ranger in pricing, performance and economy.

Not going to be a Maverick competitor,
Not even close.
Are they using Fiat designed electrics ?
Like the Jeeps.
If so I wouldn’t consider one.

If a company has to farm out electrical systems they are showing they can’t build better.

I wonder if the interior will be made of cheap shit like our Mavericks.

The Geezer Boomer has spoken. :’P

The Rampage interior looks nice, Dodge/RAM has some nice looking guts. Not enough to sell me. Maverick has me covered for all of my general needs.

Certainly a unibody style based on the images with the integrated bed - I can't imaging they would produce a unibody on a subframe in that price point.

But you are no doubt correct about several points, the Mav has a huge head start, decent reputation, and proven Hybrid platform they (Stellantis) don't seem to be chasing at all based on the current promo. However the worst thing for a manufacturer is a total monopoly, and with the Santa Cruz being discontinued, Ford would have more than just market dominance, but total control.

Dodge is also challenging Ford with the 2027 REV RAM Fullsize, which I also think is a good thing! :)

I would consider it if I star having issues with the Maverick. Or a Ridgeline. But it would have to be priced lower than the Maverick.

I actually like the Ridgeline, but it's definitely a mid-size (noticeably bigger), and significantly more expensive than the Mav. Not going to get any cheaper either...

It appears to have a nicer interior like the Santa Cruz. R/T version seems to be in line with Lobo. To be cost effective, they have to build it here. Stellantis quality is not the best. I know, numbers say Ford quality sucks. I'm still leery of a Ram (Dodge). 2028-2029 could be crazy- Toyota, Ram and gen 2 Maverick coming out. Dealers will be markup crazy!

As the initial article stated, it's based on the Jeep Compass chassis, which is unibody.
