Hybrid. With fuel prices the way they are, it makes more and more sense by the day.

This is our Second yellow lab. The first was a rescue. He was an older dog, was great with the grandkids when they were babies. We got the second set of labs (a black and a yellow) when the grandkids were first born and we still had our old boy. Sure do miss the old boy. :crying:
If you want a pet, don't get a lab. If you want another member of the family, get a lab.

I'd get the hybrid again because of the fuel mileage. I suspect the engine will last longer than a turbocharged engine as well.

If the Maverick was my only vehicle I'd consider getting an Ecoboost and doing suspension mods and a tune, but I have a Mustang for spirited driving.

If a plug-in hybrid isn't available.
I would buy another hybrid XLT, AWD, 4k towing.

*I can get the same 4k tow rating as an EcoBoost XLT, I can get the same all-wheel drive as EcoBoost.
PLUS better mileage.

*I'm excluding any special models such as FX, Lobo, tremor. Or anything that would have a rear Locker.
Love my hybrid, but a big "no thank you" on a plug-in EV Maverick. I don't believe CA has the energy infrastructure to support mass numbers. Regenerative braking and coasting are reliable and cheap ways of charging my battery.

This question sort of PISSED off my Service Manager friend: With profanity - "anyone using the "L' button on the transmission is an 'Idiot". It does nothing but stress the Atkinson Engine...it's purpose is for "very temporary" braking. If you need to stop, press the F'g brake pedal which uses the engine compression to recharge the battery with compression braking...or put it in cruise control at a lower speed and the eCVT will automatically downshift for you."
Ford has officially stated that there is no harm in using 'L' continuously on the hybrid. The intention is for things like steep downgrades or when maximum regen is desired... but it can be used as much as you like.

How would this operate in L…. High revs like a normal tranny and engine

The documentation states that it just increases regen to max, but I and other posters think it has some undocumented effects as well. I'm almost certain that it changes the pedal input too. As for the speed of the engine I'm not sure... a poster with some free time and live OBD2 data could figure that out.

I have a 23 Hybrid, but if i am to order one today, it would be a Hybrid AWD 4K. I want a camper trailer but with 2k towing limit on the FWD Hybrid, there are a lot of camper trailers I can't even look at.

I would consider the hybrid awd if they ever offered it with the FX4 pkg. In the current configurations I would still go with the ecoboost.

I snagged a holdover '25 XLT EB this spring with all the rebates Ford was offering during March truck month.

There weren't any '25 AWD hybrids available around here then.

I drive 17 miles (one way) to work daily and pull a 5x8 enclosed trailer to haul dirt bike and gear a few times a year.

Recent trip (with a slight tail) I got 35 mpg not pulling and then pulling the trailer I average 22-24mpg.

My only complaint is I wish the truck had a 18-20 gallon fuel tank. Yes it would weigh more but the current 14 gallon tank seems to drop the gauge fairly quick.

Otherwise truck does everything I need and if I need "zippy" I just pop it into sport mode for a bit.
Are the tanks on the 25 AWD XLT EB only 14 gallons i've seen different opinions on what they hold on here?
