Did a search and didn't find much recent info, with the recent rate cuts what are the best rates people are getting these days for a Mav?

Best I have found is either PenFed which is about 5.79% @ 60 months and LOC which offers 4.99% but waiting to see what I qualify for.

If you found 4.99% I can recommend jumping on that and HODL

Usually credit unions have the best rates. My local credit union is 5.49% so 4.99% is an excellent rate!!

I'll be laughed off the site for saying this. But don't forget to ask the dealer's finance guy what he can do for you. Dealerships get kickbacks for financing, and they might possibly kick some of that back to you as a price reduction. And remember - it costs you nothing to ask the question.

Credit not an issue for me but best rate I’m finding is 5.74%. As long as they don’t have a prepayment penalty I will most certainly let the dealer finance guy do some looking for me to beat that.

As others have said. Credit unions are generally your best bet. One credit union I am a member at is 4.9 the other is 4.5

I would not count on seeing crazy good rates through the dealer but as pointed out doesn't hurt to ask.

Look online for rates like: https://www.lendingtree.com/auto/ AND https://www.bankrate.com/loans/auto-loans/rates/

Get your best rate from your bank or CU and Online sources, Contact the Dealer and ask the F & I person what the current rate is. If not better than you can obtain outside of the dealership, Tell the F & I person what your being quoted and to make life easier can they beat it or at minimum match it. Ask if they can offer a buy down. ( Auto dealers and manufacturers often use buydowns to make financing more affordable and to promote specific vehicles. )

Thanks everyone!

For those that live in the Great Lakes area I would consider LOC, unfortunately I don't so do not qualify.

I'm looking at 5.79-6% @60mo between the local credit unions which is fine, I will use this info to see what Ford can offer and then decide the best route.
