Everyone walked away but both vehicles were destroyed. The front of the Maverick completely crushed in as designed. The passenger cabin stayed square enough that all the doors opened and (sort of) closed. All airbags deployed. I am comfortable saying that this accident wouldn't have been a walk-away in an older vehicle. Modern safety technology is amazing!

I guess it is time to order that '25 I was complaining about the price increases on. No one else is offering a competing vehicle.

Glad you're okay to be here posting about it, sorry to hear about the crash.

Hopefully you'll find a comparable replacement whether a new Maverick or other. What a shitty way to end the year. Hopefully 25 goes better.

Sorry to read of your loss. Overjoyed everybody is okay. Hope you enjoy the 25 or if you are able to find a 24. Me I would opt for the 25, larger screen, sync 4, co-pilot, push button start XLT and really not that much of a price hike for a new model year. Best of luck with whatever you buy, just glad you survived.

sorry to hear of the accident. unlike in 2021/22, you will be able to get a replacement truck pretty quickly, probably 3-4 months.

I'm sorry about the accident, but I'm certainly glad everybody is okay. More aches and pains certainly will show up a few days after the accident.
How ironic you mentioned a few days ago in a post, that you were looking around your area for Mavericks.

I have been looking around the PNW at Maverick pricing for a bit now since the retained value has interested me. At $22.5K, even as an XL, it would be the cheapest Maverick within a 5 hour drive of my location. Bonus points for being a hybrid.

That is definitely a sad way to end the year for sure. I am glad the truck safety features did what they are designed for and protected everyone. On the positive side, ordering a new 2025 Maverick would be a nice way to ring in the new year!
